Poor David Carr
mello, DO NOT READ below!
Well, it looks like Carr has already over-stayed his welcome in Carolina:

A random money-line (though there are many):
Said fullback Brad Hoover when a reporter asked him whether there was any confidence left in Carr in the Carolina locker room: "I don't know. That's a question that needs to be asked. Right now I'm so frustrated that I don't know how to answer you."
The reason I bring this up is THIS, right here, is why I am so optimistic about the Texans. Sure, we struggled against Cleveland yesterday, but behind Carr, we have not stood a chance over the past couple of years. Look at it this way: if it's easy for guys like Hoover to question Carr after just a couple of starts, just think about how mis-aligned our offense has felt since probably 2005.
And this is what brainiacs like mcclain and justice simply just can't wrap their Texans-malignant brains around. This is a different team. There is leadership, and there is hope.
Between Capers and Carr and Stevens and those guys, there's been a ton of addition by subtracting. Add to that a core nucleus of badass young talent, like Mario, DeMeco, DR, AJ, Manchild, and Teh Schaub, there is upside.
I invite the chron to keep insulting the Texans and Texans fans. I just hope its readers, if any actually remain, are kind enough to remind them that they have been wrong...about everything.

The reporter's summary in that article
Hear hear
If you look at the raw numbers, passing attempts divided by total sacks, so far this season the Schaub is being sacked 1 out of every 19 or so pass attempts. Not too shabby. In his limited starts, Carroline is being dropped 1 out of every 10.5 attempts. Now if you look at his 2006 Texan numbers, they are staggering similar - he got sacked once every 10.8 attempts -- and thats been the best of his career. 2005 season - it was once every six dropbacks! Prior to that it was even worse. Infact I think posting the actual numbers might make my computer puke.
I throw out all those figures to make this one point: David Carr can't play NFL quaterback. Thank you.
