Dear Diary,

On Sunday, the Vince Youngs beat up on that Team-That-Didn't-Draft-Vince (you know I won't say their name) and won 28-20. Vince was the best player on the field by far that day, as I said in my column (can you believe they pay me to write for a living!?), and as far as I was concerned, Vince was the only player on the field.

Oh Diary, Vince looked so marvelous in his tight uniform. Of course, I didn't watch any of Vince's plays because you know I can't stand it when those big meanies hit my poor Vince. That Mario-what's-his-name, who I will never, ever talk nicely about, sacked him 2 1/2 times (Diary, how does a player get half a sack? Football can be so confusing!). I think there should be a rule in football that no one should ever be allowed to hit my Vince. Who do these people think they are, hitting the best player in football history so hard? IT JUST MAKES ME SO ANGRY!

Well, I think I'll pop that big question to him next week. I know, Diary, that I had said I would wait until after the season, but that nasty Johnnie McClain keeps talking about his new black lace underwear, and I can't take the chance that he'll take my Vince away from me forever. I know that, once Vince can see and feel my love for him, there's no way he'll be able to say no.

And don't you worry, Diary. I'll be sure to keep visiting you and telling you all about my crush on Vince. If it wasn't for you, I would just explode!

I have to go say goodbye to you now, Diary. I think I need to preempt Johnnie's underwear with a new teddy of my own.

Remind me never to piss off my good buddy BFD.

On this one we definitely agree. I'll always be greatful for what VY did as a Horn.....hell, I don't even mind if he is a successful QB 14 games per year. {Notice I said he, and not his team. The team owned by Bud must still lose many, many games. So it is written, so it shall be.}

I guess the chronic is just psyched to have VY with a good game against the evil, evil Texans.....especially since Reggie proved his true value a few weeks ago.

We can be critical of the draft picks, but in the end we always support the new Texan.

We always here that reporters are better than bloggers because of their training and education and lack of bias. If there is one "sportswriter" who proves that reporters are no better, if not downright worse than bloggers, it's Dickie (and Jay Mariotti). Dickie should not be employed by any publication in the country outside of Teen Beat or something similar.

Agreed on all counts, Shake. I watch the two Rose Bowl games about every 6 months or so. I love Vince, but he plays for the most evil football MF in history.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised to see the comicle drop all coverage of the Texans and replace it with the inbreeding child-eaters. You gotta think that mcclain and little dickie dream about following Hunka Vince full time.

The shit storm Mello started against the Chron...guess he doesn't get a merit badge for getting the site to "mello". And putting a Cowboy blog in the Chron is unbelieveable. Should we all go post there and tell them to get the hell out of our paper...inundate them with Texan fan outrage...

You don't see a Texan blog in the Dallas Morning News. I don't think that expressing our outrage is stooping down, that is standing up for our local team. How does the Chron get away with this shit...lets get a Spurs blog going as well, and what ever other soccer teams are in the state. I guess I just don't get it.

...you are giving those assholes far too much credit. If they had any brains at all, they wouldn't have started a cow-pokes blog. Nor would Little Dickie be allowed to deep-throat VY at every opportunity. They simply don't like covering the Texans.

Personally, I think good for them. Fuck 'em.

I just wouldn't expect the slightest bit of awareness or intelligence from them. I mean, you can ask a pile of dog shit to stop being a pile of dog shit, but it ain't gonna happen. I see that sorry rag in the same light.

I completely get the point you're trying to make. I guess what I'm saying is to just steer clear of all things Chronic. If I actually gave a shit about what their blog(s) looked like, then I wouldn't hang out here & at DGDB&D so much.

I just refuse to give the hit to their webpage.

I know how you feel, but this situation is why I read blogs and not "newspapers." I've ranted on this before, so I'll spare everyone that wrath, but I say fuck the chron. fuck em hard. like shake, I just refuse to click there at this point. if they want to rumble, they can come to me.

The only time I've clicked over there in a long time was when McClain had the "for fans who wonder why they don't blitz" post. Otherwise, it's not even worth it.

Fuck, I wish they would reply, either in their "no-holds-barred" blogs or in an email or something. I wish one of them would take me to task for something I wrote. At least THAT would be entertaining for some people.
