PrintIn yet another under-the-radar agreement that won't be the lead story on SportsCenter, N.D. Kalu re-signed with Houston for one more year. Kalu isn't going to be pushing anyone to start at defensive end, but he's a valuable rotation player who provides a burst off the bench. Much like Ephraim Salaam, his return keeps some much needed depth and leadership around. Well done, Rick Smith.

Kalu and Salaam
Couldn't agree more with this comparison. Both of these guys are respected pros who play the game the right way and are, by all reports, respected by their peers. Keeping them both around as long as they can contribute in any way on the field will absolutely be a boon to the franchise.
