2007 NFL Draft--Open Thread
As promised, here is the vehicle for all of our rants, profanity, disbelief, and (hopefully) praise. Fire away throughout the weekend in the Comments below.
I'll start it off...Boy, I sure am glad Brady Quinn Medicine Woman won't be a Texan.

#2 Pick
Please, please, please God....let the Browns take Quinn
Wow!
Ditto
On a side note, check out Draft Tek's Real Time Predictions....it looks like they are really on top of things today, by producing a continuously updated predictive model.

Question, are you guys watching the ESPN or NFL Network feeds? I'm going back and forth, but only to ESPN when NFL Network goes to commercial. Adam Schefter correctly called the top three picks about an hour and a half ago, and he seems to be plugged in well. I've definitely preferred the NFL Network coverage so far, if you haven't checked it out.
I need a royalty check for talking up the NFL Network I think...

Not watching yet...
However, I really don't have an option since Time Warner Cable still hasn't worked out their issues with carrying the NFL Network.
Re: NFL Network
And still, Dr. Quinn waits to find a home.
Probably a Trade
Watch for Miami or Minnesota to trade up to beat the other to getting the Medicine Woman.

Re: Peterson
If he's there at No. 10, Smithiak has an awfully tough decision to make.
ATL takes DE Anderson
ESPN
When Atlanta selected Anderson, the cameras immediately went to Quinn.
And did anyone see the ticker at the bottom which showed the Panters' "key pickup" as David Carr??
VY
OH MY GOD
Please don't take Quinn, please don't take Quinn, please don't take Quinn, please don't take Quinn, please don't take Quinn, please don't take Quinn, please don't take Quinn, please don't take Quinn, please don't take Quinn
I Officially Declare

Quinn falling to 10
Draft Tek
I am still hoping for the 1st trade of the draft.
Also
#10 Pick
I'm still a big fan of him.....this could lead to great things in the trenches on the D-line.
However
Okoye!
Front page
If so, I will hold off until then.
Okoye

Nope
Re: Age
Where Does Medicine Woman End Up?
Oh, and I am more in love than ever with the Okoye pick. Defense, defense, defense. Texans have to go WR in Round Three.
Brady to Cleveland
Joe Staley to SF
Thanks Shake

I guess we can forgive you
If it really is Olsen to the Bears, then the Colts may take Branch with the pick.
I'd be kind of shocked

SBN Mock Draft Flashbacks....
Well, that died fast
Kevin Kolb
After this pick
It's like deja vu, all over again.
As I catch up on the drinking part...
Dolphins = dum.
Cards = Wow.
Texans...OK, I admit to being confused. Huge man-crush on Okoye, no doubt. BUT, how could we not have made a Dallas-esque trade to move down and get additional picks. I have to go back to the Schaub trade. The Falcons just picked up Blalock with our 2nd round pick. Was Schaub worth all that?
Yeah yeah, I know, being critical on draft day. Shame on me.
Anybody else surprised by Ross at 20? I know we have a couple of Horns on the list (and did I see that we have an Aggie here, too?), so I am curious as to opinions.
Only halfway through my first beer, dammit.
Grading
I was VERY surprised to see MG & AR go back-to-back so early in the 1st round. I'm happy for them & the University, but I don't think they should have gon that high.
Re: Ross
oh yeah...
I can't believe the intertubes led me astray. I promise to never, ever believe anything I read on the intertubes ever again. never. Ever.
RE: Broncos' trade
Oh, well. The 3rd round can't get here fast enough.
Viva Cuervo!!
Damn Fruedian slip. I was pondering the fact that I am now the only sober one at the party....and I hate being the DD.
Holy middle-of-the-field-receivers Batman!
goodness...
Eh, at least there is a hot chick here to ogle. Yay for me!
And don't tell my wife...though, fortunately for her, my nym is all too apropos.
Crowder
I just think somebody will bring out the fire in him, and he'll be a serious player.
re:
Still Available
Jason Hill - WR
Marcus McCauley - CB
Ryan Harris - OT
Sophie's Choice
Voting
Jacoby Jones?
if
Ray McDonald
He was projected late 1st Round or early 2nd.....and now we approach the late 3rd.
