Craig Biggio Is A Texans Fan

Craig Biggio has been a season ticketholder of the Texans since their inception, so I'm going to exploit that as a way to use this space to congratulate him on picking up a truly historical 3,000th hit (not to mention hits 2,998, 2,999, 3,001 and 3,002) last night at Minute Maid Park. Although it should go without saying, Biggio has probably meant more to this city than any other athlete who has ever passed through. If Matt Schaub ends up doing a fraction of what Bidge has done for this town, a statue of him will be built outside of Reliant Stadium.

Way to squeeze in Biggio

I remember being 10 years old, going to the Astrodome and seeing Nolan pitch to Bidge. The team may have sucked, but those were good times.

We can be critical of the draft picks, but in the end we always support the new Texan.

Biggio has been nails for Houston his whole career. A humble guy, he has always put team before himself, even to the point of making sure Jeff Bagwell came onto the field with him when he acknowledged the fans.
