Around SBN: Steve McNair Dead - Former NFL QB Shot and Killed

Re: The Longhorns

So, when did you guys become the Bengals of NCAA football?  Six arrests since June?  Beating up people during "home invasions?"  Good lord.

Granted, Michigan is not exactly the cleanest, above board team in the nation.  Far from it.  But the 'Horns are doing their best to make people forget the 90s Cowboys.

[end blatant trolling; resume daily boredom]

and in case you're curious/slightly confused
"longhorn07" used to go by the handle "Chuck Whitman" which bothered quite a few orangebloods.  Site admin Peter changed it to what it is now.  And you can disregard anything he says; he seems to be a troublesome troll with no allegiance to UT.

A revolting development for sure.  My theory?  They're all being framed.  By Bob Stoops.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

well...
at least we don't have russell crowe patrolling our sidelines, Matt:

Hey, BigTex, tell me Chuck ain't freakin' dhab or another of similar intelligent magnitude.  sheesh.

Captain Dhab & Chuck
Unfortunately I think they are of the same fiber.  Dhab was actually entertaining to talk to in his irrational, immature, and politically incorrect ways.  I would laugh at the stuff he said in all its juvenile glory.  Chuck is just annoying and only tries to incite outrage.

i don't think
Dhab is clever enough to come up with Chuck Whitman as a handle, but who knows.  Man that little shit pissed me off.

I spend an inordinate amount of time at blogs like this, BON, and CFB, but I just can't fathom people that get a rise out of going on these sites just to start shit and spend so much time doing it.  If they're not genuinely interested in the content exchanged, how do they not have something better to do with their time?

No...
but it's a safe bet that you have at least four convicted felons.

Besides, Gladiator is a bad mofo.

Is it too early to hook Jacoby Jones up with Darcy Maeda?

damnz
which still puts us 15 behind the bengals, so it's all good.

BigTex, who was that dude from Memorial who posted that racist trash?  Not dhab?  I don't remember anymore.  I'm old and....too drunk.  Well, not yet, but I'm studying and working on it!!!

Dang
Sounds like there is soap opera level drama at Burnt Orange Nation.

Thankfully, the BRB family gets along swimmingly.

Yeah it was Dhab
He was just a 17 yr old tool from memorial HS.  And he pissed everyone off, myself included.  But watching the whole BON community collectively tear him a new one was great.  Good entertainment every time he tried to defend himself.  Then he came back on 2 separate occasions with 2 different handles, and we sniffed him out within a day each time.

There's always gonna be drama with a readership as large as BON's.  There's gonna be some bad posters/trolls, but Peter does a great job of keeping things straight.  It really is an amazing place.  I can't wait until BRB has that kind of readership (already has a great community).  The passion the current posters have is awesome.

Well said
While I still bleed orange daily at BON, I definitely have a lot more fun here at BRB....even though some of us seem to act out our own episode of South Park from time to time.

Like you said though, a blog community that large (2100-2200 users) is going to get a little hectic at times.

We can be critical of the draft picks, but in the end we always support the new Texan.

Duh.
Seriously, who didn't see this coming? I mean, they knew those guys were black when they drafted them, right? Ha ha. It's okay I can say that. I'm a racist.

On the actual topic
I'd like to believe it's just a couple bad apples (of the 6 they're quoting, 2 were the same person, and this recent one was connected to that guy).

If it was just a couple of DWI's, some pot, and an inadvertant NCAA violation, I wouldn't be so ruffled.  Although disappointed, I'm willing to chalk that up to college kids being stupid college kids.  Hearing about guns and robbery and intimidation and the sort is just disturbing.  Hopefully this madness ends soon, with a couple of guys getting kicked off the team and we can move on.  I think the fact that the team isn't exactly living up to everybody's standards is magnifying the situation somewhat (at least in the eyes of alumni and in the context of criticisms lofted at Mack).
