My Thoughts
  1. Left side of the OL and Steve-O are getting manhandled.  The DL isn't pressuring as much as I'd like either.
  2.  Schaub looks incredibly poised (anyone surprised?)  Other than the poorly thrown INT, he's looked in control and is able to make things happen.
  3.  Ahman is way better than some media types would have you believe.  KC is pretty damn good up front (even sans Allen), and Green is abusing them.
  4. Thank god it's KC.  I have a bad feeling that a lot of their offensive incompetence isn't necessarily due to our brilliant playmakers (though our secondary is better than I thought it would be), but mostly due to the fact that this is a bad team

CBS halftime report
Just reminded me that our longest pass play last year was only 53 yards.  I love Matt Schaub.

short pass
big hit on the WR just after he caught it

Mario fell on the ball, and then got up and ran with it.

We can be critical of the draft picks, but in the end we always support the new Texan.

I can't see it.
But the radio guys have made it sound like plenty of 3 WR sets, with Walter moving to the slot and JJ on the outside.

Mario rules.

Eating my words...
We played well.  I think Houston got lucky with that fumble, it wasn't going to be over turned regardless of which way the original call went.  Schaub impressed me, he played really well.  Andre Johnson...he's too good, gotta expect that from him every once in a while.  I think we would have had a better shot if LJ had more than 10 carries.  Both of your picks were huge.  Hard to blame the tipped pass on Damon Huard, and a DT won't intercept a pass very often.  It was a tough loss to take, b/c if we are going to make the playoffs we gotta beat AFC teams like the Texans.  Could be a rough season, but at least you guys are off to the right start.  Mario Williams could be the real deal and AJ and Schaub might have quite the connection going.  Bottomline: you guys took advantage of the opportunities handed to you and created your own.  Houston deserved to win.

Good luck to you guys....especially Priest.  Consider me lucky getting to watch both he & Ricky Williams in the backfield for the Horns in '96.
