Week 1 Playoffs Mini-Thread

I'm getting the night off, so I am drinking beer, watching football, and only doing a little homework.  Oh, and the real blonde is here tonight.  BOING!!!!

Just kicking off, with Tim's permission, a Week 1 playoffs thread.

If I had 300 characters, I would be smrt.  I mean smart.  So, you still hate me.  I would give you the Jenny Hendrix treatment if I could.  And if you were a chick.

Yeah, she's gotta be a real blonde.

Anyway...
Point being, the Jaguars look completely bad-ass.  I think the best two teams would be the Jags against the Pat-rats.

Rashean Mathis owns Ben like I own...umm...something that I buy.

Finally talked the woman into it.
I pushed the 60+ for weeks so that 50 would seem reasonable.

And I feel you on the old TV.  Until about five months ago, we had a tv in the living room and in the bedroom that were a combined 27 years old.

With MJD's TD
I think this one is over.

Holmes
Is trying to disagree with you.

Won't matter, though.  This Jags team is ROLLING.  Jerks.

Jacksonville
I was so impressed with Jacksonville for the first 2.5 quarters of Saturday night's game.  I couldn't wait to bet on them against Pats.  Now...ugh.

Do they have anything more than a puncher's chance to beat the vaunted Belichickians?

Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

Possible
I think if JVille can play keep away from the NE offense, then yes, they have better than a puncher's chance.  They need to do what they do best - but better than they've done all season.  In other words, they need to play the most smash-mouthiest game of thier lives.  If they can control the clock with their signature quarter long possesions and keep the NE offense from getting any sort of rhythm - they put themselves in a position to win the game.  Winning the turnover battle is key.  By not turning the ball over, they can hinder NE's ability to build momentum and versa vice.

So yeah, I think, with the right game plan JVille can tighten the Patriots screws a bit - and let's face it, their playing with house money.  NE is the team with the pressure of expectation, and like I've mentioned before, expectation is the mother of all disappointments.

With that said, I still think the Pats experience wins out.  28-24, Pats, but not without a fight.

Shakin 'em off one win at a time... In Schaub we trust.
