Fred Weary Released

The Chronicle is reporting that the Texans waived Fred Weary today after Weary refused to accept an injury settlement from them. As noted here, this isn't a surprise at all. Mike Brisiel's emergence made Weary expendable, and the move from IR to waivers isn't an uncommon or shocking one.

One of those bittersweet moments. Seeing a player you’ve cheered for released is sad. Knowing that it was because there’s someone better on the roster is sweet.
