WARNING: Trap Game!

How do the Texans approach a team that's in the position they were last week?

For the last 3 weeks, the Texans have been a trap game for the Jags and Colts before finally finding triumph against the Dolphins.  Now it's the Lions that are hungry and the Texans that have something to prove.  Specifically, can they build momentum to roll with the rest of the season?  A two game win streak would be great to celebrate.  How do the Texans get there this Sunday?

If we were playing a divisional opponent next week...

Then yes, it is a trap game because we might be looking ahead a bit. But with Cincy on the sked for next week I feel confident the Texans are focused squarely on the Cowardlies.

"The Cowardlies"

Great term for the Lions (no relation by the way).

not so much worried about focus as i am about a lack of killer instinct. the Texans need to Finish against the Lions just like they did against the Dolphins. hopefully we’ll be winning on the final drive.

Question For You

Is it possible for a 1-4 team to have a trap game? Dunno, though I’d agree Sunday is such a game (assuming it’s possible).

Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

well 1-4 is better than 0-5 so i’m wondering if that makes the Lions hungrier for the win.

Not a trap game

If they were 4-1, it would be. But for right now, it’s just another one of 11 remaining must win games.

I think the Lions

are a mess right now. From a change in GM to their QB issues – is Kitna really hurt? – you guys play tough and your loses were by very small margins. I can understand the desire to have your team finish the game. They did last week, hopefully they liked the result and will do it again this week.

Nah

This isn’t a trap game. This will be a blowout win. THEN we have a trap game against the Bengals for sure.

Last week

I said I would be happy with a win no matter how ugly it was (and it was ugly).

This week, I want a win by at least two touchdowns. I want a total annihilation.

could not agree more

we as suffering Texans fans deserve to witness the crushing of an opponent, even if they are winless.

GO TEXANS!!!!!!!!!

There is always

a chance for a so called “trap” game. I mean, on paper we’re only 1 game better than Detroit. I know, games aren’t played on paper, so I still feel confident in a win for us, I might feel differently if it were a road game for us, though.
