Funny Guy...
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

Minus that last 50second
We had two TD’s in three drives right? Good work.
by DisplacedTexan on Oct 26, 2008 4:31 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Starting the second half
just like we started the first. Medium length pass play to AJ over the middle.
by Tailgate Andy on Oct 26, 2008 4:35 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
I'm tallying motion plays now.
Every single play.
by DisplacedTexan on Oct 26, 2008 4:37 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
A couple of mediocre runs by Slaton
and then another pass to AJ for the first down.
by Tailgate Andy on Oct 26, 2008 4:37 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
AJ Chinstrap Count:2
Slaton still at 1.
by Tailgate Andy on Oct 26, 2008 4:37 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Haha.
Andre Johnson makes this sport really easy, huh?
by Nashmeister on Oct 26, 2008 4:38 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
My fantasy team
I’ve got Schaub, Daniels, and Slaton started this week. I almost swung an Andre Johnson for Plax Burress trade in week 3… if only, if only…

Our offense is pretty
KDub with the TD

words I never want to see again
Rosy should start over Teh Schaub.
Thanks for listening.
by bigfatdrunk on Oct 26, 2008 4:41 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
He may never start again.
But the Rosencopter lasts for eternity.

Petey?
Left alone with Ocho Cinco? And made a play?
Be still my heart.
by DisplacedTexan on Oct 26, 2008 4:48 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Well, they were at the fifteen.
And Petey’s coverage is tight for about 95 yards. It’s just outside of that range that he struggles.

more words I never want to hear again
Richard Smith, Defensive Coordinator of the Houston Texans.

Off-topic Houston pride!

Are we counting penalties?
Had a little help there.
by Nashmeister on Oct 26, 2008 4:52 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
When Petey's your starting CB
you count everything you can get.

Walter TD
Should have made sure he was down…
by Tailgate Andy on Oct 26, 2008 4:53 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Walter
caught the ball and fell down. The Cincy defender went to go touch him, so he’d be down by contact, but by the time he got there, Walter was already up. The defender just nudged him, and Walter kept running.

Holy Crap
Is this what it feels like to be on the other side of this sort of thing?

K-Dub
You are awesome on so many levels.
by DisplacedTexan on Oct 26, 2008 4:54 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Greatest. Offense. Ever.
And greatest benching of T.O. in favor of K-Dub ever.
by Nashmeister on Oct 26, 2008 4:54 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
So nice to read
2-10 CIN31 (5:49) R.Fitzpatrick pass short middle to R.Kelly to CIN 38 for 7 yards (D.Robinson; Z.Diles).
1-10 CIN31 (6:23) C.Benson right end to CIN 31 for no gain (D.Robinson, T.Bulman).
by socctty on Oct 26, 2008 4:59 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Oh come on
Seriously? They’re going to flag that?
by DisplacedTexan on Oct 26, 2008 5:04 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
On replay.
That is a completely ridiculous call. Truly ridiculous.
by DisplacedTexan on Oct 26, 2008 5:05 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Eh.
Gave up the first-down anyways. In typical Richard-Smith fashion. Worthless hack…
by Nashmeister on Oct 26, 2008 5:05 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
FUMBLE
Mario Williams with the strip. Amobi Okoye with the recovery.
by Tailgate Andy on Oct 26, 2008 5:06 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
I was just
about to ask about how Mario was doing. Just looking at the gamecenter site on NFL.com…
by socctty on Oct 26, 2008 5:07 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Team MVP?
Or Andre Johnson? Hard call for me to make.
by socctty on Oct 26, 2008 5:07 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
I like these types of tough choices.
by DisplacedTexan on Oct 26, 2008 5:08 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Doesn't it seem like
half of Mario’s sacks are forced fumbles? I don’t recall seeing a lineman be that consistent about it. He never personally recovers them, though.
by socctty on Oct 26, 2008 5:10 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
This year?
Or career? Is a “FF” recorded even if the offense recovers it?
by socctty on Oct 26, 2008 5:19 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Beast.
I’m always surprised that more sacks don’t go for forced fumbles though. Half the time the QB is just palming the ball; you’d think if the DE/LB just slid their arms down when they wrapped up, they’d knock it loose every time. I guess the game just moves too fast to thing about that though.
by Nashmeister on Oct 26, 2008 5:14 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Green
Looks like he might actually break one soon
by kozanack on Oct 26, 2008 5:12 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
I didn't mean
something in his anatomy
by kozanack on Oct 26, 2008 5:21 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Green
Is a completely different runner now that he’s got Slaton to share the backfield with.
by DisplacedTexan on Oct 26, 2008 5:13 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
"And Green may be hurt"
Socking.
by DisplacedTexan on Oct 26, 2008 5:15 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
The most obvious statement I've ever heard an announcer make
Quote: “Green may be hurt”.
by Tailgate Andy on Oct 26, 2008 5:15 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Is it odd
That I’d rather have 3&6 over 3&1?
by DisplacedTexan on Oct 26, 2008 5:21 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Slaton finally gets a good run in
First one of the game, and he takes it in for a TD.
by Tailgate Andy on Oct 26, 2008 5:22 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Seems a little too boom/bust for my comfort
But the FootballOutsiders guys seem to think highly of him, meaning that he’s doing well in the situations he’s put in. I can’t wait to see how he ends up at the end of the year…
by socctty on Oct 26, 2008 5:24 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs

Doth mine eyes deceive me?
Or did Travis Johnson just get the second sack of his underwhelming career?
by Nashmeister on Oct 26, 2008 5:28 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Is that true!?
Oh my god… that’s outrageous…

GO TEXANS!!!!!!!!!
by Texanmaniac on Oct 26, 2008 5:28 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Why did he try and run that back?
I’m glad he got the INT, and I’m glad that he’s playing FS, but didn’t he learn anything from the Miami game?
by Tailgate Andy on Oct 26, 2008 5:28 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Those are silly offensive numbers.
Just ridiculous.
by DisplacedTexan on Oct 26, 2008 5:31 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
And unnecessary.
Pound it up the middle, try to pin them in their own end-zone.
by Nashmeister on Oct 26, 2008 5:33 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Starters
Get them out of the game (Andre, Matt, Stevie)

ALERT
Special teams still hittin’ people.

The punting game is not strong today.
Luckily, we didn’t have to do it all that much. But Turk gets the day off after his performance last week anyways.

ahman green may have tweaked a groin
sounds like his season is over

Just when I thought this game couldn’t get any better.
by Nashmeister on Oct 26, 2008 5:40 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Game
Largest margin of victory in the history of the Texans.
So the message to take away from this game, is that when we win the turnover battle, we win by nearly 30 points.
by Tailgate Andy on Oct 26, 2008 5:45 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
I know this is garbage time
But I like Moats. Right after the first series of cuts in training camp, I put him down as one of the three guys (along with DeShawn Wynn and Marcus Thomas) that I wanted us to bring in.
