PrintThere seem to be quite a few posters on this forum that follow other teams. Last week there was quite a bit of discussion about soccer, rugby and other sports. Rather than clog the gameday thread (and risk a ban) with talk about soccer, I thought I'd open up a fan post to discuss it.
I'll start. The Greatest Soccer Team In The History Of The Galaxy had a mixed week. They lost 2-1 away at West Ham but rebounded well to win at home against NEC Nijmegen. They're now within 3 points of surprising league leader FC Groningen.

Didn’t get on the score sheet – but played his best game so far.
Yeah the Dos Santos benching confuses me as well. I really think he’s class. We SHOULD be playing a 4-2-3-1… but no one listens to me.

Watched the Dutch do it at Euro
And loved it. Gives you a lot more flexibility in attack but doesn’t weaken your backline with only 3… like say the 3-5-2 (which is suicide in my opinion – too crowded in attack).
How’s Huntelaar doing this season? I haven’t been following the Dutch league at all (which is odd – since I’m living here right now).

He's been sucking
But he played pretty well today, socered a goal, created another.
He’s kind of an autistic savant when it comes to soccer. He can’t do anything but score.

You guys got a rough UEFA group – though Slavia isn’t the team they used to be and Hamburg is a wildcard.

Dumped us last year. I think we can do it — we have the two worst teams in the group at home, and two wins should do it.
Sadly, given our recent European form, however, this is far from a certainty.
