I’m seriously hoping that Kubiak has Slaton and Green each get at least 15 carries. Sure the Vikings are going to stuff the first 10 of them for less than 3 YPC, but running the ball 30 times this game will do 3 things. It will allow the Texans to tire the Vikings D line out by making them move all over and fight cut blocks. Big Fat Pat Williams will be out of breathe. I want to see Kubiak run him off the field.

The other side of this thought is that if Schaub has more than 20 passing attempts in the 1st half, the Oline is going to be tired fighting off Jared Allen, Kevin Williams and the many lbs of Pat Williams.

The second thing running the ball on the Vikings will do will keep the Vikings secondary staring into the backfield. AJ & Walter can win their individual match ups. I think Daniels can win his as well. Having all the Vikings DBs staring into the backfield to support against the run will open things up a little more for the Texans receivers and allow the Texans offense to consistently make plays 15-20 yards down the field.
