BRB Get-Together

It's been a great homestand and a great opportunity to watch some Texans football.  But now our beloved Texans are hitting the road.

We at BRB wanted to organize a get-together to watch one of the road games.  There'll be the game,  some food, and of course knowledgeable and frenzied fans to share it with.

If you are planning on coming to the event, please RSVP to marroncito@yahoo.com with your contact phone number no later than November 13th.  We need to know how many are coming so we can plan adequate space, food, etc.

Unfortunate

I’ll actually be in town from 11/8 – 11/15, so I can’t vote for any of these.

Honestly

It doesn’t matter to me, I might be willing to get together for all four!

Where would the gathering be?

Any idea? I’d love to meet some posters & bloggers.

I was wondering the same thing. Any idea of the location?

If the Texans get on a roll, this could be real fun. It would be great to get a chance to see some of the faces behing all the great writing.

No Particular Place In Mind

We’re taking requests in the Comments, so fire away with your preferred establishments and/or parts of town.

Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

What I actually meant was

… what city? I assumed Houston, but since a lot of us are not in Houston, I didn’t know exactly what the plan was.

Re: City

Yeah, I guess I’m assuming H-Town as well.

Have you all ever heard of the Alamo?

It’s like this old building in the middle of downtown. You all should really come check it out.

thoughts

if there aren’t say more than 15 people, i was thinking of hosting it at my apartment complex. they have one of those rec rooms with a big screen, etc. being next to my apartment, i could help take care of food.

if we get more than 15 people or so we’d probably have to plan to meet somewhere.

Well then

It’s a damn good thing there’s not more than 15 people reading this blog, huh.

more of a guess based on the number of people not in houston and the number of people that would want to get together and watch the game.

the blog is growing. we’ve got 267 registered members now. i’m looking for ways to get all 267 involved.

Except for 2

So make it 265

Are we really?
  1. in our division? That is what it says on the Texans website

by TexanFanFromTheStart on Oct 28, 2008 7:59 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

3 way tie for 2nd place or last place

depending if you are a half-full or half-empty persona.

We definitely need to win some division games on the next go around. Our 0-3 division record is our albatross right now. Tiebreakers could decide the WC. We are fortunate that we have games left against Cleveland, Baltimore, Indy & Jax, all of whom figure to be in the wild card race.

 Link to tiebreakers: http://www.nfl.com/standings/tiebreakingprocedures

It is complicated, but head to head and division record are important.

if in Houston...

I should be able to meet up if the gathering is in Houston. And by “in Houston” I mean inside the Loop, of course. Though I’ll have to schedule around my chores – gotta clean my mom’s basement now that the Rockets season is starting.

UGH

I will miss the get together by one fucking day.

Ugh.
