BREAKING NEWS: Matt Schaub Has Torn MCL; Out At Least A Month, Maybe Rest Of Season?

Oh, no. Nononononononononononono.

Damn you, Jared Allen. Damn you to hell. You've made at least a dozen powerful enemies today. I am now actively rooting for your demise.

Thus, the Rosencopter shall take to the skies again. I do not believe I could be more depressed about your Houston Texans than I am right now. More to follow, unfortunately.

During the fecal matter debate thread

Chris said he was so sick of feeling this way on Sundays. I couldn’t have agreed more, and now it looks like the feeling will continue.

I suspect

We’re headed for 6-10. The only possible silver lining is that it may cause Richard Smith to get the axe. And even that isn’t good enough.

Oh, and we’ll draft fairly high.

When I'm on the mic, I'm like global warming, you can't ignore me.

One can only hope

But you know, and maybe this can be chalked up to Steve McKinney being a dumb ass, but McKinney was on the radio a couple of years ago and talking about zone, power blocking etc. He said it didn’t really matter, everyone runs a little bit of everything, just execute, blah blah blah. What I’m afraid of is that 1) the defense will get a pass because Rosenchoppa will put them in bad field position continously, or 2) the McKinney theory above will kick in…namely that NFL folks will think that everyone knows how to scheme defenses, etc, it’s just up to the players to do it…..and Smith will stick around.

no doubt...

The hit on Matt was cheap. I say sit him for the rest of the season, cuz it aint getting any better!

ugh

Not only do I have to watch the Rosencopter at work for a MONTH…
I had to go pick up Sage in all my fantasy leagues just to block everyone else. That depresses me greatly.

Sage In Fantasy

I’ve got Schaub on my team as well. Every bit of logic screams for me to pick up Sage, but I just can’t do it.

Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

Hooray for built in excuses...

I hate you Jared Allen -

Get well soon Matt.

Kinda explains the poor play… dude was on one stick.

I keep hearing...

Schaub is fragile, but every injury he has had is a result of cheap shots. Dammnit that sucks!!!

GO TEXANS!!!!!!!!!

ESPN bottom line says 2-4 weeks

But I trust Glazer more. Hopefully he’s wrong.

Although, if we go on to lose more than we win while Schaub is unable to play, then yeah, sit him the rest of the way.

Sorry guys.

I love’s Schaub’s play, I hate his body. Bad luck, cheap shots, whatever……he has issues when playing against anything above a mediocre defense.

I also put some responsibility on Kubes; not necessarily for the injury, but for the loss yesterday. Schaub should not have been in for as long as he was the way he was limping around; really pissed me off.

6-10 sounds about right. Hooray for the fucking draft. Yet again. I bet Orakpo’s available mid first round…might make a nice bookend.

Another D Lineman...

Not with it this year – I agree it would be great – but I think we need to go secondary. Unless we can do something big in free agency, my money is on snagging a safety in the first round.

agree

1- safety
2- RB!
3- DL

again, sad that halfway thru the season we’re looking forward to the draft.

Healthy and Turnover free 2008-09, and we win 11!

Re: RB in the Second

Eight games into the season and I’m starting to see how beneficial it would be to have a “thunder” back to wear down a defense, so our “lightening” back (read: Slaton) can get loose for big gains.

Need to start looking at who is going to be available from around pick 10 – 50 next year. Again, I love what Slaton brings – but he’s better served having a bigger back who can soften the box enough for him to break free.

On another note.

Was just listening to Mike Sherman’s post game comments on the Aggies; WE JUST GOT WIN #4!!! WOO HOO!!! Anyway…he talked about the badACE mofo that is Owen Wilson…said he was a tireless worker and a probowl tight end if he’s ever seen one. We better keep the OD for the long haul!

Owen Wilson?

I loved that guy in Wedding Crashers.
