Whats Left?
The Texans have reached the halfway point and we're 3-5. This just hasn't been our season so far. If you believe in the football gods, they are angry with us for some reason. Fumbles, red zone interceptions, hurricanes, you name it, it's happened to the Texans this season. You can make a good argument that we could be at least 4-4 if not 5-3, but you are what your record says you are. Let's take a look at the remaining games.
Opponent Prediction Comments
v Baltimore Loss Physical teams make us look JV
@ Indy Loss Not the same old Colts, but we're the same ol Texans
@ Browns Loss We can't win on the road, It'll be cold, Quinn improving
v Jax Win Reliant will be rocking for MNF, against the hated Jags
@ Packers Loss Another road embarasement
v Titans Loss The best team in the NFL lays the smack down, again.
@ Raiders Loss Raiders pull out a home win.
Bears Loss Bears battle for home playoff game. We just want to go home
I know the odds of us going 1-7 down the stretch are slim, but that's just the way I see it. Physical teams, such as Baltimore, kick the crap out of us and our guys just take it (see Pitt, Tenn, Vikings). We can't win on the road to save our damn lives. We can't beat the Titans to save our damn lives, or the Colts. We just have to be honest about this. I do think we could beat the Ravens and Raiders. But I just don't see us beating the Titans,Bears, Packers, or Colts. Maybe the Browns, but Cleveland is a very unplesant place to play and they're getting better.
Is a 4-12 record likely? Probablly not. But 6-10 is staring us in the face.
What are your predictions for the rest of the season BRB?

I'm going with Ws
over B’more, Cleveland, Jax, Oak, and Chi.
Then again, I might be high.
Yay, sports.

I hope you are
believe I’d love to go 8-8 right now. It’s difficult for me to imagine though.

I had a dream last night
That we ruined the Tits’ perfect season with a 16-13 win.
Then again, I also dreamt that my boss started hitting on me. And she ain’t attractive. At all. So I don’t really know where I’m going with this.

4-12
Would mean no more Kubes.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

Sadly
I sometimes wonder if that wouldn’t be for the best. I love the guy, but he keeps suggesting more and more than he’s a great coordinator who doesn’t have the “it” factor of a great coach.
Then again, I’m probably just bummed out because I’ve been reading too many of Chris’ comments.
Yay, sports.

I've begun wondering about Kubes as well
I have a feeling McNair will be more patient with Kubes, but who knows. I love the offense when we don’t turn the ball over and the coaches don’t have their heads up their butts (clock mgt, etc.).
They will have to let Dick Smith go, there will just be a revolt if they don’t make a change.
The worst part to me, is what will they do at quarterback? We’re stuck with Schaub next year, but I don’t think he’s the future. The question is, how long will it take them to admit that? I can hear the excuses now, ‘he hasn’t played two full seasons yet" , etc. I think sometimes either a guys’ got “it” or he doesn’t. You can just tell. Guys that always have “freak” accidents, turn the ball over, fumble snaps, walk into the pass rush. Some stuff you cant coach up.
I also hate writing about the off season before we even play our 9th game, but…***sigh*** this sucks.
I really hope we win on Sunday, but it’s going to be a tough game.

2 - 6
in that stretch we will beat the jags because we will be rocking our battle red gear on MNF. and probably come away with a win against the raiders.

If.....
we get to 7 wins I will be surprised! I’m nothing but a fanatic of the Texans, but damn it’s real easy to predict was coming, such as a loss this weekend.
GO TEXANS!!!!!!!!!

We win on MNF and @ Oakland
We have a decent chance against Chicago, Cleveland and Green Bay. I was predicting 9-10 wins in August, but now it looks more like 6-7 wins. I am really saddened because thus far this team is the definition of unrealized potential. Gotta look to the coaching staff for the blame. Kubes is on notice (see Jerome Solomon’s editorial in today’s Chron), and even though I really like him (like MDC already stated) if he can’t do better than 6 wins with this roster, he may be done.

you’ll win 5 of those..Jax, Raiders, Bears, Packers and you hang a loss on the Titans.

Right now I see no reason
That we will win a road game this year.
Maybe Oakland. Maybe.

your 11 for 14 during that span at home and its only a matter of time before you take it on the road..Ravens have same problem…i hope not Sunday.

Hello 5-11
We can beat Jax at home and Oakland on the road. That’s about it…
Though when Schaub comes back, we’ll be much better. I can’t wait for this team to fire Richard Smith and get more talent on D.
