Congrats

Dear Houston Fans,

Congrats on a huge win yesterday.  I live in Illinois and was an Oiler fan before they left.  I loved watching Warren Moon and company in the baby blues.  My college graduation present was a flight to Houston to the Astrodome to watch the OIlers beat the Steelers in 1996.  It was their last win Houston as the Oilers.  Anyway, I'm sure many of you hate the Titans and that is understandable.    That has to make this win even more sweet.  For me, the move to Nashville was great, now they are just a 4 hour drive from home.  Our division is tough and it is just going to get tougher next year because you guys are GOOD.  People can blame Fisher for not kicking the FG or whatever, but the fact is we still could of stopped you.  Slaton was awesome on that last drive and Johnson is just plain awesome!  Congrats again, I hope you win out and finish 9-7.  See ya next season!

Thanks.

I have to say – the Titan online fans are handling this loss with a ton of class… mainly because they still have bigger fish to fry rather than dwell on one loss to a non-playoff team – but man, I sure wish your players had even a HINT of the class that a lot of the fans are showing.

The bunch over at Music City Miracles are giving the Texans credit rather than saying we got lucky, or saying that we won on some fluke – and I appreciate that. Of course, I don’t HATE the team any less… but still. It’s worth mentioning.

Thanks

I’m with Chris. I really wish the Tennessee players exuded the same class their fans are showing in defeat.

Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

I wish

that their owner showed the same class ever.

Reading posts like this

Is 1 million times better than all those sympathy posts we were getting after the Flight of the Rosencopter.

Thanks for the class.

I'd like to second gotitans27...

you guys are rolling right now. I didn’t buy the Texans as playoff contenders coming into this year, but I’m definitely buying it going into next year. Slaton is the steal of the draft, IMO, and I’m looking forward to a long line of showdowns between him and our Crazy Legs Johnson!

Well played Texans. Well played.

Where I was raised 2 + 2 = 3rd and 6.

A question?

I was just wondering gotitans27, are from Tenn and inherited the oilers or an oiler fan that followed the team. My guess, by the class you show is that you are from Tenn. I say this because I know a few Oiler/ Titans fans that love to tell me how crappy the Texans are and rub it in every time we lose to the Titans. I just wanted to let you know I appreciate the congrats.

I must admit, I did smile when Haynesworth went down.

GO TEXANS!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I just checked back in....

I am an Oiler fan, but live in Illinois so the whole texan/titans thing doesn’t mean anything to me. I’m not a fan of any team in Houston now that the Oilers are gone. The team moving to Nashville was actually good for me, because they went from a 15 hour car ride to a 4 hour car ride :)

I just know the Texans are going to be tough for years to come. The offense is very good and you have drafted well the past few years and your defense is going to keep getting better. Just what we need in our division….another good team!! Good luck today!
