Hello fellow BRBers! I'm here to extend an open invitation (or maybe this is more like an open forum?) to all of you in the Houston area (or willing to travel). How about we all meet up at a fine establishment such as Hooters or Buffalo Wild Wings and have some wings and beer. I figure that most of us here at least have two things in common: the Texans, and humorous ramblings. We could discuss the Texans humorously! Also, it seems liek most of us are drinkers. So, who's with me?

I like it. Anyone have ideas on when and what wing joint or bar should be honored with hosting?

Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

my work

is currently within a few miles of the 529/290 intersection......we could hook up for lunch while you're in.....there's a great burger place over here

I hate you Houstonians. With that said - I'm a native Houstonian myself - Westside, Mission Bend, represent.

I'm just jealous of the ease in which yall can put together a Texanscentric social gathering.

Well, I show up and make some decisions in between typing comments on BRB....and they pay me for it....so yeah, I'll call it work.

The little place around the corner is called Burger Tex, & here's some Google Map for ya.

This little gathering is open to BRB. Anyone who lives or works near northwest Houston (290 & Beltway-8) is more than welcome to join.

We'll meet at the previously mentioned & linked establishement for lunch one day next week. We should get there by around 11:15AM, as it fills up (line out the door) by 11:30.

The day is yet to be determined by 1Tex's schedule while in-town (in-country for that matter).

Damn the burger man.

I want to get drunk with other TEXANS fans. You don't know what its like to live in the heart of Cowboys country. San Antonio has a hard on for all things Tony Romo. It sucks.

But to your point about changes that occur only during observation (you know, the whole wave/particle duality of matter thing), that's pretty much akin to my girlfriend's understanding of the kick return. She knows what's happening, and the objective of both teams during the play -- but never what caused the play to happen in the first place.

I'm on a mission to build a network of Texans fans in San Antonio. Starting...

Met your BFF Shake. Had the best burger in Texas. He paid for everything and then gave me money for gas to get home. Damn that was great, sorry you couldn't make it!

Unfortunately, I'll be unable to attend this meeting of the minds on Monday afternoon. But if one of you would be kind enough to pound a few Zimas and ignore the unabashed failure that was the Casserly regime, it'll be like Scott is there.

On a slightly more serious note, I'm all for reconvening for happy hour (or any drinking, really) at a later date. Let's throw out some dates, times, and potential locations so we can get one marked on our respective calendars.

Draft Weekend

I think there was some talk earlier about having a draft symposium during the draft. I think the tentative plan was to go to the Texans draft event, and then go to a bar to lament/rejoice in the draft. I think MDC was even planning on getting sick around that time.
