Uncanny Resemblance

Either Richard Justice and I are on the same wavelength or he's been snooping around BRB again.  The following is in regards to the reported interest in Warrick Dunn.

What I wrote March 3rd:

In the immortal words of our commander in chief, "Fool me once, shame on -- shame on you. Fool me -- you can't get fooled again."

Kubes and Smith will lose major cool points if this goes down anything like the Ahman Green signing...

BUT - if Warrick Dunn is feeling charitable and wants to play for free (figuratively speaking of course)- then the cool points stay intact.  It would have to be a low risk investment.  I think having guy of his ilk in the locker room would go along way in helping this young team mature.

What Justice wrote on March 4th:

Fooled me once, shame on you. Fooled me twice, shame on me. The Texans are thinking of signing an old running back for the second straight year. Maybe Ahman Green needs a buddy to share time with in the trainer's room. He was 30 years old and coming off his two worst NFL seasons when the Texans signed him last summer.

They ended up paying him $5 million for 70 carries and six games. He was productive for about a game and a half, and that was that. He was 30 when the Texans signed him, and they'll tell you he got hurt. That's true. That's what happens to 30-year-old running backs.

Now Warrick Dunn, 33, is on the radar as a third-down specialist. Other teams are interested, too. Dunn is one of the highest chracter guys to ever play professional sports. He makes the locker room better in countless ways.

He ends his blog with a short paragraph about Dunn's declining production, and how the Texans and Gibbs think that Dunn has something left in the tank - but he doesn't know.  Blog fodder basically.

Now I'm not saying that Richard did the unspeakable, but it was something I wanted to throw out there.

What a Dick
You & Matt should start a recovery group, as you both seem to be plagued by the same virus.

By the way, "Tom", I see that you are still reading up in our little corner of the internets.  On the bright side, at least it's taking place silently.

We can be critical of the draft picks, but in the end we always support the new Texan.

Nice
I see you've taken on the M&M 8-Mile strategy & are picking on yourself to take away our opportunity to do it.  Well played.
