Duane Brown
For those pissed the Texans picked Brown in the first and didn't try to trade back, apparently the San Diego Chargers were going to pick Brown at 27 for tackle depth. They went with Cason in order to address their CB depth. For better or worse it looks like the Texans made the correct call in drafting Brown at 26th if he was their guy and got two more picks.

Nice Find
Quote from the above linked article:
"We came up one pick short," said Turner, who along with the rest of the Chargers brass watched Houston trade into the 26th spot and take tackle Duane Brown of Virginia Tech.
So you're saying that now I have to think of some witty Sig that will be applicable across all the SBN sites? Go TexanHornStros!

Overdrafted
I know this because a plumber with a draft website said so.

We got
The most athletic tackle in the draft, plus two picks, one in the third…Steve Slaton.
If we’d have traded back, we’d still have a need at LT, as Dwayne would have been gone. Kubes is looking smarter every minute….of the draft.

Draft
The Smithiak philosophy is build through the draft. Anytime you can add picks and get the most athletic tackle, an area of need…..Great pick
GO TEXANS!!!!!!!!!
