While there are many better players out there, due to marketing and PR issues the Saints just couldn't trade this guy unless it was an absolute gimme offer - like Mario Williams or some other defensive gamechanger. Cue Alanis Morrisette.

the media is now trying to remove foot from mouth about Bush/Williams. like you said, it’s great for Texans’ fans to read.
an interesting side effect of all this back tracking is that more people are saying that the Texans are poised to breakout. most writers still don’t know much about the Texans as a whole, but they’re happy to flag wave for “the young defense led by Mario & DeMeco”.
