Here's my prediction for what the 53-man roster will look like at the beginning of the regular season. I'm doing it now...before training camp...because that takes more balls. And really, I'm just bored to tears. Oh, and before I forget, the Cowboys suck.

So technically...

all the Notable Cuts are also starters? If we didn’t mess with each other, this wouldn’t be such a fantastically dysfunctional family.

Also, thanks for posting something at BRB. I mean, if only we had 3.1 people contributing to this site so that we wouldn’t go most of the week without any new content.

And yes, the ’.1’ is calling out Scott….b/c I haven’t done it in a few months and I feel like I’m slacking in my duties.

So you're saying that now I have to think of some witty Sig that will be applicable across all the SBN sites? Go TexanHornStros!

Re: So Technically

I sincerely apologize for life getting in the way of posting. During this period of downtime, I reiterate the availability and importance of Diaries/Fanposts. No need to wait on us to talk shop.

Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

Seriously?

You took something I wrote personal? I’m not sure if I’m honored or offended that you would actually take me serious.

I may have to find a way to harness this new-found power.

I'm guilty

I’ve been slacking in my appointed duties as co-blogger… After a week of vacation, I’m barely getting caught up here at work.

But yeah – please feel free to write a fanpost if you have something you’ve noticed or want feedback from the rest of the BRB faithful.

But yeah – sorry the posts have been a little scarce – I should be getting back on track here in the coming days. Thanks for bearing with us.

Quuick Thoughts

1st, compliments on the fantastic use of nicknames throughout the list. Although I’m disappointed not to see LVJ used, and DeJesus would have been considered fair play.

2nd, I’d say there’s room for 1 more on the roster…..b/c I still say the 3-QB talk was a smokescreen & Brink will be on the PS.

3rd, WTF happened to Barbaro? I figured he’d at least make the Notable Cuts section.

4th, anytime I see our punter listed I expect to see (not Chad Stanley) out to the side.

Agreed

and updated. Except for #2…and, really, I agree that Brink will end up on the PS. It just wouldn’t surprise me to see Kubiak keep him around the first few games until he’s confident The Schaub (blessed be his name) doesn’t snap in half.

SHOCKED...

If N.D. Kalu doesn’t make the roster.

The back story on this

is that McNair is weeding out the competition for the “mature” ladies.

Before we signed Colvin

I would have been shocked, too. But I don’t see us carrying Kalu when Colvin will be the siutational guy, Weaver plays the run better than ND (and costs too much to cut), and both Cochran and Bulman combined are younger than Ndwuke.

Yay, sports.

Howdy fellas

I’m new to the site, but i am a huge Texans and before that a Oilers fan. I try and surf the web daily on any news of the Texans.

But anyways back to the topic. Only a few things, first of which would be a DE. Since up to this point the signing of Weaver has just been a waste of cash i really cannot see him starting another year for us. On third downs i figure they may put Rosie on the side as Weaver has given us 0 pass rush. Also i would not be surprised to see Bulman fill in on some snaps, from the video’s i’ve seen this summer of workouts Bulman looks like a pure BEAST.

Also at DT, i honestly don’t expect much from Okam in his first season. Being a UT alum there is nothing more i would rather see than a Longhorn succeed at the next level but Okam really did not show alot of desire playing college ball and i think it will take more than a season or two for Kubiak to get a fire under his ass. Expect to see alot of TJ and Maddox.

Re: Howdy

Welcome to the neighborhood, Badger. I’m with you on Rosie and Bulman, but I’m bullish on Okam. I think he’s going to supplant TJ by season’s end, though I’ll readily admit that I’m viewing the future through burnt-orange glasses.

Hope to read more of your thoughts as we progress into the 2008 campaign.

All I have to add

is that you’re right. The Cowboys suck. Oh, and good job on the roster.
