Did I Miss Something?

We're a few hours away from training camp opening, and our local fishwrap was kind enough to post a short slide show depicting some of your Houston Texans checking in. Aside from the obvious amusement that accompanies gems such as "Schaub had what David Carr lacked — namely leadership," I ask you this: When did people start naming the first son who shares his father's name with Roman numerals instead of simply "Junior?"

Congratulations, Travis Johnson. You've blown my mind again.

I don't know about the difference between Junior and II

but unless I am severely in need of laser corrective surgery, TJ has a huge freakin’ gut. He obviously did not spend his time wisely in the offseason. Considering what a classic underachiever he has been, I shouldn’t be surprised but I am disappointed. Maybe we can get a low round draft pick for him, because with that physique, I can’t see us getting any productivity from him on the field.

Training Camp is finally here. 1st game 2 weeks from Saturday. GO TEXANS!!!!!!

re: Duece

When I heard him say that nickname on the news last night, all I could think of was the phrase “dropping a duece”

So you're saying that now I have to think of some witty Sig that will be applicable across all the SBN sites? Go TexanHornStros!

Oddly enough...

that’s exactly what the baby’s mama did.

Yay, sports.

Exactly

And for just a split second, I actually thought Travis had come up with an ironically funny nickname for the kid. And then I found out it was just a nickname based on their lack of creative baby-naming abilities.

So you're saying that now I have to think of some witty Sig that will be applicable across all the SBN sites? Go TexanHornStros!
