Dallas

This is the time for J. Reeves to step up and put a foot in the mouth of all those Dallas fans that continue to say how glad they are he's gone.  I'm reading they're tired, beat up, and embarrased about the two losses they've been handed so far.  All they're talking about is their continued mental mistakes.  Romo even signed his own helmet accidentally when the trainer handed it to him.  Their linebacker Kevin Burnett is saying that this is the game their fans need to watch to see what kind of team they're really going to field this year.  So ... we can REALLY send them in a scared tizzy when we beat them this week.  This all makes me real happy!

Dallas & the Titans

I can’t decide which fans I hate worse – Dallas or Tennessee. I just wish the Texans would serve both teams a warm glass of shut the hell up.

This is completely unrelated, but props to Lee for sticking up for Texans fans this morning on 790AM. He dropped a nice plug for BRB and DGDB&D, too.

I agree completely

But as I mull it over…it’s the Dallas fans who are the most irritating/obnoxious IMO, although close.

Re: Plug

Lee told Matt and I about that after he did it. That just rocks.

Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

I hate...

the city of Dallas worse, but the Titans as an organization. Though, of course, the Cowboys are a close #2.

Yay, sports.

Good point

The two groups are annoying for different reasons. The Dallas folks just piss everyone off with their superiority complex towards Houston, and the Cowboy fans raise it a notch when they attempt to bask in their now-irrelevant football glory from the 90’s. No matter where they live, the Titans fans usually just come across as completely illogical Vince-lovers, with the Houston variety being especially bitter that he wasn’t drafted by the Texans. I suspect many of them were in NFL limbo after the oilers left and tried to be Texans fans before they were driven off by Dom Crapasserly ineptness and the 06 draft.

Unfortunately, both groups rather enjoy bashing the Texans without basing it on reality.

@MDC

city and organizations, yea, but fans themselves…just read the Chron from time to time. If that doesn’t make your blood curl listening to the Dallas fans. It made me mad enough to write into the Dallas Morning News one time to give them a taste of their own medicine. Dallas fans would fit most of your profile pictures of Richard Justice on your blog…especially the Rhino.

Oh, as for the fans themselves...

I think you are right that Dallas fans are slightly worse.

Yay, sports.

Being a Bronco fan--I have never forgiven them for our first SuperBowl outing...

I used to like Dallas—back in the Dandy Don/Bob Hayes days—and somewhat into Rodger the dodger days. I think the later days however stemmed from my extreme hate of the Steelers.

You guys are really looking good this year—we finally looked good last week—I hope it lasts. I hope Norv brings down the Chargers as fast as Wade has brought down the Cowboys.

Any chance of one of you talking Kubiak into trading your back-up QB for ours. Let me know if yes—I would be very excited!

Good luck and play hard this week. I don’t want Jerry Jones (very evil man that fired landry) to win another game.

Let’s meet in the playoffs and surprise everyone.

Broncos broncos everywhere and all the league did blink,

@mike clark

I wasn’t ever a Bronco fan, but this year than is changing. Thank your team for kicking Dallas’s ass! Plus…thanks for all the players….I’ve heard it the other way, but out of respect, I’ll call ya’ll, Texan’s North. Love to see you guys in the playoffs! Best wishes!

What chaps me

about Dallas is that a lot of their “fans” are basically bandwagon riders from their earlier success. I mean, not TRUE fans. The Formeroilers fans are just delusional. Mark my words we sweep Tennessee this year.

In line

That pretty much follows my prediction for the series with the Titans.

It goes back to my toddler years...

I remember watching Earl run the ball on a 3 channel tv set through smatterings of ’70’s television snowfall. The cowboy fans my parents knew then would talk about how the Oilers sucked and only the cowboys were good. It was in wet diaper that I began my hatred for the cowpokes.
I don’t care that they have won how ever many titles. being a true fan has nothing to do with how many championships your team has won!
It doesn’t matter what happens friday. The Texans could win by 100 and cowpattie fans from across the pasture will holler…" but we won superbowl". If the cowgirls win, we here " see we better". The point is until the Texans either win 5 superbowls or at least meet and beat the girls in the superbowl, most, not all, cowpokey fans will keep saying the same crap as always

GO TEXANS!!!!!!!!!

Star Telagram (Tim would call it Dallas fish wrap)

This is why I hate these arrogant bastards:
Texans’ Super Bowl

The Cowboys better be prepared for a dogfight tonight. What is just a preseason tuneup to the Cowboys is the Super Bowl to the Texans and their fans. The biggest win in the Texans’ history was the season-opening 19-10 victory over the Cowboys in 2002 at Reliant Stadium. In other words, the Cowboys better bring some emotion to go along with hopes for an efficient outing against what will be a fired-up and improved Texans team.

Yeah...it means nothing to the Cowboys

That’s why the played their starters longer than we did last year AND obviously gameplanned for us AND blitzed a ton (though without success). Because they just don’t care, you see?

Yay, sports.

They also

worked hard to make Andre Johnson a non factor, and it almost bit’em in the butt the way Kevin Walter played. We are closer to the Cowboys in team talent, grit, and pride than they want to admit.

we have fewer criminals and more men.

Yay, sports.
