More Chron Blunders
I'm starting to wonder if the writers over the at Chron put any effort into covering the Texans. From today's entry from Dale Robertson:
If Rosenfels, who re-signed with the Texans in the offseason assuming he’d get a reasonably fair shot, feels misled about his predetermined place in the pecking order, he won’t verbalize it.
Really... Rosenfels re-signed with the Texans? Was this an extension to the 4-year deal he signed in 2006?
But the 30-year-old Rosenfels enters his seventh preseason as a backup with his head up and mouth zipped, determined to show himself worthy of the job even if Texans coach Gary Kubiak has officially decreed it’s not open to him.
Did he spend a season out of the league? Since he entered the league in 2001 wouldn't that make this his 8th preseason? Is there some sort of goofy 'sports journalist' math that we don't know about?
That’s why the Texans were hugely relieved to retain Rosenfels, who perhaps eschewed opportunity elsewhere because he sees opportunity hidden around the next bend in Houston.
The Texans were hugely relieved that what... Sage didn't go overseas to play in Japan? He is under contract through 2009, he didn't have any other options.

Re: Rosenfels
I thought the same thing when I was reading the paper this morning. Truly mind-boggling.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

The Chron.....
will only be happy when the Texans lose anyway. Jmac will make excuses why they win. That’s why I’m so eager for them to do very well, to watch chron.com give us reasons why the other team lost, like Jax resting their starters last year in the finale, Hell the Texans rested their starters after week 2!!!
GO TEXANS!!!!!!!!!

You'd think this is hard to believe
But sadly, it really isn’t.

Look On The Bright Side
At least he’s didn’t slobber over another team’s QB. That’s an improvement over previous their previous coverage.

Dale needs to go
Looks like hid didn’t even bother to check some basic facts, i.e. Sage’s contract. Duh, I think that is covered in Journalism 101. I wouldn’t expect anything this shoddy from an adolescent blogger.
Maybe we need Dante Pastorini to come back and finish this bozo off.
Wake up Chronicle, print media will soon be a thing of the past if you continue this amateurish junk. Texan fans deserve better.
