Duane Brown
We all saw Duane Brown start last week good and then drop off. Here's what he said about it that I didn't know. (from HoustonTexans.com)
(on what he took away from the game last week) “Try not to think too much. I think I was doing a little bit of that last week and it got me in trouble at times. Also, prepare as much as I can for this week. Watch more film, pick up my tempo more in practice, hydrate more so I don’t have the cramping problems I had last week. I learned a lot.”
(on how bad his cramps were last week) “It was pretty bad, probably the worst I’ve felt in my life. They were constant, they weren’t going away. It affected me a lot, especially in pass protection trying to kick-set. My legs started to lock up and it was hard for me to move.”
Ok Rook, at least I'm feeling better now. Ya did look a little goofy trying to chase down that football.

All part of the learning curve. I like what I see from him and think he’s going to be good. He needs to work on his technique, though.
And this week is going to be tough on him.

I can imagine that
his technique was lacking if his legs had the worst cramps of his life, and started to lock up, so it was hard for him to move. (I had that feeling when I hiked across the Grand Canyon) But yea, I expect him to do a lot better this week. Here’s one light we can take out of the black hole that was last weeks game.

That makes sense
All in all, I think he has the athletic ability to play LT for sure. I’m fairly confident that he’ll have a good career for us.

Nice Find 1Tex
That really does help to explain the decline during the game. I won’t say he started off strong, but definitely above average…..especially for his 1st game in the NFL & against the Steelers.
