Babin released

According to Rotoworld.com:

Seahawks released DE Jason Babin.

They had to do this because Seattle is now carrying eight receivers. A former first-round pick, Babin would be an upgrade over several teams' nickel rushers, particularly in St. Louis and Houston. He can also play linebacker.

Would Houston really bring this guy back? He had a nice game vs Minnesota in the preseason... I don't know about you guys, but I don't really see him going back to Houston. However, I'm not the expert here, that's why I'll ask you guys... Does Babin return to your beloved Texans?

No, He Does Not Return

He was badly cast in the 3-4, but I don’t think he’d be a good fit even in Richard Smith’s 4-3. I cannot see him returning to H-Town, even with the team featuring a pass rush of Super Mario and the equivalent of three (3) five year old girls.

Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

Why not?

If he’s cheap? It’s not like he’s going to be any worse than, say, Rosie Colvin or any of the other stiffs we have rushing the passer.

This is Sad

Sad, that our DE’s are so pathetic that we would even have this debate. He’s obviously expendable to Seattle and it’s not like they’re loaded on defense or anything.
Does it hurt to bring him in? No. Can he help us? Probably not. Either way he represents one of the worst draft picks of the CC era. Hey, lets go ahead and bring back Carr next year while we’re at it. What does it hurt after all?

Re: Carr

There isn’t enough hair mousse in the lower 48 to lure that guy back to Houston…

We are desperate for a pass rush

Bring him in for a tryout. Nothing to lose.
