Vaya Con Dios, Brandon Frye
According to the official site, your Houston Texans bid adieu to Brandon Frye this afternoon. Frankly, I was a bit surprised that Frye made the 53-man roster a couple of days ago; this move, to me, means that the staff feels pretty good that Ephraim Salaam is close to 100% and that Rashad Butler is a better prospect than Frye.
It also means that the team now has an open roster spot. Any guesses about who gets that coveted final place at the table before the Texans jet off to Pittsburgh? No real clue here, except that I'm pretty sure it won't be Tony Boselli.

Damn it all.
I just know it’s going to be Tatum Bell.
Maybe if we picket outside of Kubiak’s house we can change his mind. I’d recommend something along the lines of, “No more washed up ex-broncos!” on your sign.

Yeah I heard the news on 610 during the afternoon commute
and they made the same conclusion that you did about Ephraim Salaam being ready to go Sunday. If he were not, then they would only have 3 tackles on Sunday. The last roster spot will have to go to the practice squad guy who has the best practice week. I like Derrick Roberson, a sppedy special teamr/CB. Another possibility is picking up a RB, but he would not be up to speed enough to play on Sunday. At any rate it likely will not affect the lineup Sunday because the guy added to the roster will likely end up on the game day inactive list. The only significance being that he will just not be vunerable to being signed to another team’s 53 man roster.

Consider This
A passionate vote for Roberson. I’m officially losing sleep over a CB corps of Bennett, Reeves, Molden, and Petey. The more CBs, the better.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

Tough To Say
I think he’s young enough, and has enough promise, that some team will take a chance on him. Worst case scenario, I’d guess he winds up on a practice squad somewhere.
