IMAGINE IF YOU WILL!
Watching NFL football two weeks ago and no team was from Houston.
Then one a week ago a very large Hurricane named Ike caused you to miss the games that week, but no teams were affected, because there is no team in Houston.
This, my fellow Texans fans, is what life would have been like in 1998. When there was no team in Houston.
The Texans suck, no doubt about it, but it is just plain awesome to at least have a team to cuss and moan about. For those of you who remember how crappy it felt as a sports fan, to lose your freaking football team. All I'm saying is, I will never give up on the Texans........But Dammit!!!....................................................................................
Sit Schaub, start Sage, until he gives you reason otherwise!
Who calls the plays? Kubiak or Shanahan or Both? Whatever is it change it all.
Fire the defensive coordinator and give the job to Ray Rhodes.
I LOVE STEVE SLATON!
And I do believe this season will get better!

Steve Slaton
Whatsup guys. Yes I am a Bills fan and Im posting here because Steve Slaton went to a local High School about 8 minutes from my house and everyone around here has been following him through High School, to West Virginia where he has been a Heisman Canidate and to the Texans where he has gotten his first TD and 100 yd rushing game. He is a great player and is as fast and explosive as any running back drafted this year. He makes people miss and he is going to be a pro-bowl player some day. ( i hope haha0 You guys got a real gem trust me. Good luck this year

Thanks For The Note
Appreciate you commenting. Slaton is one of the few bright spots on the entire roster thus far. Hope you’ll stick around and keep up with us.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

No prob
I love watching home town heroes espescially good ones. Steve was a star in High School but he was like the 3rd string back at WVU until the first 2 got injured and he finnaly got a shot. I think he got like 3 TDs the first game he played in at WVU. Only reason he was drafted so late was because Last year he split carries with an extremely talented freshman in Noel Devine (who is probably gonna be a top RB prospect in a few years) and pretty much split with Pat White too who probly ran more than he passed. It pissed me off that the “draft experts” and that tool bag Mayock put him as the like 10th best back because he had a little bit of an off year along with 1/3 of the carries he had the year before. The year before his last year there he had like 1900 yards and 20 somethin TDs, he was phenomenal and was one of the leading front runners for the heisman until the obvious NFL phenomenon Troy Smith got it. Stupid. Well anyways I love steve and I hope he continues to shine for you guys. In a year or so the Texans could be a prolific offense. Their D is pretty solid. Their is damn good minus a good QB. All they need is a new quarteback or a breakout from Matt Schaub. Sorry for the 400 page Biorgraphy. Good Luck

Slaton
I remember being surprised at his falling stock as well. If Slaton comes out in ‘07, he’s probably a first-round pick. Guy stays in school and yields some carries to a younger RB, and all of a sudden he’s not as good anymore? No way.
Needless to say, we’re ecstatic to have him.
