is it panic time yet?
as soon as we looked at the schedule all or most of us were particularly scared of the first 5 games of the schedule. well none of us thought that we would start the season in such a horrible manner. After the steelers game i thought that the steelers were just a very good team and probable a AFC title game good team, but then they looked terrible against the eagles and that made me second guess the steelers as a top tier team and with that makes me feel even worse about our team.
on sunday i was hoping that history wouldnt repeat itself because lets face the Titans own our team. i think we are like 1 - 12 in the history of the texans against the titans. at the beginning of the year i said that this would be the year that we wouldnt be the bottom dwellers of the division and called for a season sweep of the titans. well now that shit went out the window and i am starting to panic and really contimplating a 0 - 4 start to the season.
the jags have some issue of their own and had to make a great last minute comeback against the colts to avoid their own 0 - 3 start. we play the jags well every year and usually steal at least 1 from them a year. also looking at the schedule we have the colts who arent looking like the team of old and more like just an old team, but still possibly looking at a 0 - 4 team.
but then have a stretch of 3 very favorable games against the dolphins, lions, and bengals. after that stretch we are looking for a possible 4 - 3 team that is coming off a 3 game win streak. so with this information is it really panic time yet? how long before the organization hits the panic button and the schaub project is scrapped in favor of the sage-flavored texans? i am hoping that we wait until mid season to make any changes to this team. of course i am just looking for something to put a possitive spin on my team and keep looking foward. let me know what you think and if you are in panic mode or looking at a possible 4 - 3 team going into the second half of the season?

No Panic...Yet
If the Texans can pull one out against JAC or IND, I’ll feel a whole lot better about life. But based on what we’ve seen at PIT and TEN, there’s not a whole lot of reason for optimism right now. If there aren’t marked improvements come Sunday, the fan base will likely be in full-fledged panic mode; the question is whether management will be there as well. I’m guessing no, but two (2) more embarrassing efforts against the other divisional rivals might be enough to force a few changes.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

You know
I think that the Texans just need to settle down and play football. And it starts with Matt Schaub.
Let’s not forget that last season Matt was making most of the throws. I really think its the expectation of the fans, city, media, teammates, coaches, and more importantly himself that has Matt making so many mistakes. Expectation can be a real drag if you can’t handle the added pressure.
I really think that he needs a shot of confidence… Like hitting AJ in the corner of the enddzone on a perfectly thrown ball, or on a play action where your all world receiver has a step on the defender. If AJ makes those two plays, we’re not panicking at all. Hell, we might even be celebrating… just something to chew on.
Success begets Confidence – Confidence breeds Success.

not yet
slaton keeps proving he was worth the pickup, so at least something postive will come out of this season, but if we lose one of the next 3 games, might as well stop watching until next year…
