What does the division look like today?

The only not terrible news today

The titans beat the jags. The colts are not dominant.

The division is up for grabs. This could still be our year.

We don't belong on the same field as the Steelers, obviously, but the jury is still out on how we compete with the lower to mid-echelon teams, of which 10-12 are on our schedule.

I think our defensive play calling was slightly better than our offensive play calling.  That either says a lot, or doesn't, and it really doesn't matter when you lose so badly.  Big fumble/recovery/return and we run two vanilla runs??

Hopefully the players hold their heads high and erase this from their memory quickly, and the co-ordinators do some deep soul searching this week.

So What Does The Division Look Like Now?

amen

it is great news. one really great thing is that the colts are missing jeff saturday right now. if he’s still out at the texans game, we should keep pressure on the rookie center all game like urlacher did.

it looks like...

Possibly a better Titans team with Collins at QB for the next 4 weeks. I’m a Longhorn, so it pains me to say that VY has been totally mediocre, and I truly believe that the Titans are better off with Collins. If the Tits fare well with Collins during these games, Fisher and VY both approach a huge crossroad. It’s gonna be really interesting for them.

As for us, the only thing that worries me is the playcalling on both sides. Unimaginative at best, but hopefully an anomaly. But with Baltimore next week, Shanny’s gonna have to find something that works more consistently on offense. We have the talent; we need plays that take full advantage of it. And oh yeah, Duane Brown will have to grow up freaking FAST.

In other news, Mario Williams just became the leading cause of high blood pressure among NFL offensive coordinators.

I don't see this

as much as a lack of talent, as a coaching nightmare yesterday.

I think we were definitely outcoached. Outplayed, obviously, but the coaches need to get more better than the players. :)

Healthy and Turnover free 2008-09, and we win 11!
