Dungy supposedly calls it quits
Big news for the AFC South, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports says that Dungy is going to announce his retirement today at 5:00. Here's the link to PFT which is where I saw this:

Even though they ended the season on a streak, the Colts seemed a little sub-par this year, at least by their standards. I wonder what this will do to them next season.

They have some decent parts left on the squad.
On offense I would be surprised if Marvin “tried to shoot a man” Harrison is back for the Colts next season. Also Reggie Wayne has not been as explosive this year, either becasue he is getting older himself (30), or he needs another strong reciever, so he can play a complimentary role. Anthony Gonzalez seems to be a good fit and Dallas Clark had another strong year but is also getting older (29). Their running game also struggled this year.
I think the Colts are in a serious re-building mode espicially with a new head coach. It does appear to me that their defense is fairly young and if they can add a few more key players on that side of the ball, it might be a quick season or two re-build for the twilight of Manning’s Career. But also the OC, Tom Moore (70) is pretty old and may go out with Dungy now or in a season or so.

another piece of the puzzle
Dungy is a class act, but I’m glad to see him go.
Next up, Haynesworth signs with the Cowboys, and the Titans go 4-12 on ’09.
Jax was a mess this year, hopefully thats a sign of things to come.
2009 could be interesting for the Texans.
Please draft some defensive stars for the next DC.

Hopefully...
the BESFs start 0-2, then put Vince in as starter, only to see him go 2-12 the rest of the way.
Yay, sports.

That would make my season
If the Cokeboys could do that as well life would be grand indeed.

Agreed
I’m hoping for top of the division. And it can legitimately happen.
As a Texans fan, I’m not quite sure how to explain what I’m feeling. It’s warm, fuzzy and like a sneeze all over. Must be hope. Or a cold. I’m banking on hope.
The Houston Texans. Bleeding battle red since 2002.
