Owen Daniels Added To Pro Bowl Roster

Tip o' the cap to Triple347 for alerting me to this first: Owen Daniels is headed to his first Pro Bowl, thanks to Antonio Gates begging out of the game. While there's no doubt in my mind that OD deserved to be named to the original team, I imagine he'll take the delayed nod over the alternative of not going at all.

That makes three (3) Texans bound for Honolulu, which I believe is a single-season team record. When you factor in that very good arguments could also be made against the snubs of DeMeco Ryans, Steve Slaton, and/or Kris Brown, there can be little doubt that these are not Charley Casserly's Texans anymore.

Only three more months to the Draft. Ugh.

chris johnson and ronnie brown might back out for injury reasons…maybe slaton can get in there…maybe others will back out too! (Not name Andre or Mario or Owen)

Good for OD,

he’s one of the best tight ends in the NFL, and he deserves some recognition. The Texans have a lot of talent on offense besides just Andre Johnson, and it’s a shame that more people don’t know about that.

He just upped his price

Not trying to be cynical because he deserves his due, but OD just made himself just a little bit more money just by his agent saying “Pro Bowl TE” next to his name. I’m glad that he’s getting the recognition he deserves.

Let's get a better fight song.
