SHIT

Without AJ I’m not sure if we can beat Buffalo.

by Stevie Wonder on Oct 26, 2009 5:10 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

I've been....

..on my knees, lighting candles, forming an AJ prayer talisman doll out of play-doh (which doesn’t come in deep steel blue, by the way, WTH) and leaving constant messages at savethetexans, com, to dodge any bad mojo risin’. I just hope it works…..

"...and if I claim to be a wise man, well, it surely means that I don't know". SL

These?

One for AJ and one for Diles (practices, only).

Note to self: Insert something witty here.

by bigfatdrunk on Oct 26, 2009 5:57 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Really though Diles would just find new and creative ways to fall over and go boom.

by nolander on Oct 26, 2009 5:58 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Diles would probably accidentally pop that thing and suffocate, or something.

If they need to let him rest a week they should.

Andre’s long term health is very important to this team.

Here’s to a speedy recovery!!

Pancakes said

The docs told Dre not to play, but he ignored them on the first drive.

The next drive they hid his helmet and took him to the locker room.

Smushiak will take us to the playoffs in 2009.

on the other side

Trent Edwards still out… Mario gets to eat the Harvard boy instead.

I just hope the Buffalo weather doesn’t force us to run the ball exclusively. If so, we are mega-fucked.

If we could pass in GB last year

We can pass in Buffalo this year.

by cubic on Oct 26, 2009 7:03 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah, but...

Last year we had a running game, so the Packers had to be aware of it.

Also – last year’s win in Green Bay was awesome, but it wasn’t really in bad weather. It was just cold. It wasn’t raining and most important – it wasn’t windy either.

If it’s windy, we could be in trouble because Schaub doesn’t have the kind of arm strength that could make up some of the difference.

I think we’ll win either way, but if we could have a game with little wind that would be nice.

Buffalo’s known for swirling winds, but it’s at it’s worst in Jan-March. We’ll be fine, wind-wise I think… rain is of course less predictable – but also less difficult to overcome.

The good news

Buffalo is dead last against the run. Depending on how healthy they are this week they might be better, but one of their DT is out.

by nolander on Oct 26, 2009 9:17 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Does this mean

Andre Davis takes the spot? Or some rotation of he and JJ?

by JimboTexan on Oct 26, 2009 7:03 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Dre filled in during the game on Sunday

But I could see JJ getting plenty of PT, especially as good as he’s been this year.

Andre

A lung contusion sounds pretty bad, if its a really bad one it can be life threatening. Imagine him playing with it and having it worsen last sunday. Things could have gotten pretty bad. Top priority is his health long term and we need him to come back 100%.
From the looks of the report though its not a bad contusion, but he needs to get that healed.

Against a very good buffalo secondary in bad weather, they may need to run more anyway

According to what I read in the chron

AJ should be good to go against Buffalo.

Either way, I think we can do it.

When I'm on the mic, I'm like global warming, you can't ignore me.

I'd rather sit AJ this week.

No knock against the Bills but we need him to be a 100% healthy when we play the Colts.

by Jordann on Oct 27, 2009 9:19 AM CDT reply actions   0 recs

I suggest...

We work on cloning him and having the clone play CB.

Note to self: Insert something witty here.

by bigfatdrunk on Oct 27, 2009 9:45 AM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Why stop at CB?

Don’t we need safeties that can cover too?

by Jordann on Oct 27, 2009 10:24 AM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Agreed!

Dre’ Davis or JJ should work in Buffalo, we going to be running alot anyway.

GO TEXANS!!!!

This is the year.......

Running a lot?

Scary thought that.

I guess five fumbles in a game isn’t out of the question.
