The C.C. "Can't Cover" Brown Blues
What up everyone, I'm Mo, I'm a Giants fan over at Big Blue View. This team that I love decided to diarrhea into my eyeballs every week by having C.C. Brown as a starting S.. We went from our stud starting FS, Kenny Phillips (On IR after a 2-pick game against Dallas w/ Patello-Femoral Arthiritis in his knees), to him.... which is like going from Meagan Fox to Rosie O' Donnell, who could probably cover better than C.C. I'm not one to cut down NFL players who are 1000x better athletes than i am and say they suck usually.... but sweet Jesus C.C. Brown sucks in pass coverage. When we played the Saints, C.C. had a team high 15 tackles. Good job, C.C!! Wait... that was because Drew Brees targeted him constantly, and except for one pass defended, he got the completions every time. C.C. watched Lance Moore jump up to catch a TD in front of him in the end zone and then did some whiffing spin move without leaving the ground. Tom Coughlin's face turned NFC-Championship Red on the sideline, of course, and how bad it was left me speechless, and then drinking. I'd never seen anything like it in professional football. Anyway, I wanted to get some input from all of you.Was he as much of a liability to the Texans as I think he is to the Giants? What is he particularly good/bad at do you think? Any specific good incidents or horror stories?
P.S.- Why does it seem like Kevin Walter is doing absolutely nothing this year? What's wrong with him?

Mo, I Refer You To Exhibit "A"
My response to Ed’s query about C.C. after the Giants signed him back in March of this year.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...

With CC in at Safety, you are fokked.
And I mean that in the nicest, possible way.
Seriously though, why to the NYG keep picking up some of our worst possible cast-away players (Carr, Brown)? I mean, are they looking to sign Weaver now as well?

There was a point where they were debating whether to hire Casserly or not on the Bills forum a couple weeks ago. There were people full on defending the guy. sigh.

Re: Kevin Walter
Don’t underestimate him. He may not be gaining the yards that he did last year (yet) due to the unsurprising emergence of Owen Daniels but he is a huge player for us. He makes key catches and he blocks like a Mack truck. FWIW, Football Outisders is still high on him – they list him as 4th in DVOA.

I love this comments section
But yeah, sorry Giants guy. CC is horrendous at everything. Looks good in a football uniform though! Bet his mom is proud.

David Carr
As long as you dont see David Carr starting, the Giants will still be fine. Do not be fooled by his looks. Isnt there another ex texan on the defense, a linebacker Danny Clark.

Wasn't he a strong safety when he was here?
He as no business trying to cover anybody, really. Stuff him in the box to stop the run or something. Then again, you might as well just start a fourth LB for that.
