But not for this type of game. Offensively, this is a nightmare match-up for us. And losing OD certainly didn’t help matters. They’ve gotta find a way to run it, because Schaub isn’t going to win this one for us.

Two minutes before the half...

I’d go for it. We probably won’t get the ball again and it leaves a very long field for them.

by distant_texans_fan on Nov 1, 2009 1:08 PM CST reply actions

Normally I would go kick the FG

But:

1 – We aren’t having problems moving the ball.
2 – We need to get six to make up for one of those turnovers.

Of course the smart call is FG, but it’s not like they’re stuffing us on defense.

by HoustonDiehards on Nov 1, 2009 1:08 PM CST reply actions

Obviously the FG is the SMART thing to do.

But why start doing the Smart thing at this point of the season.

by texanphil on Nov 1, 2009 1:09 PM CST up reply actions

But our offense...

Is notably bad at running. It’s like when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object, except the opposite.

by Nashmeister on Nov 1, 2009 1:09 PM CST up reply actions

We're going for a FG

I’d rather not, but it’s probably the right call.

by HoustonDiehards on Nov 1, 2009 1:09 PM CST reply actions

On second thought

If we did go for it maybe we could’ve run some clock so they have less time to move the ball downfield on our end-of-half-crap-zone
