Open Game Day Thread: Houston v. Bye Week
Just because there's no opponent this week doesn't mean we can't have an open thread for the rest of the NFL action. Leave your observations and theories on the matchups involving teams not from Houston as you see fit in the Comments below.

The Texans can't take bye too lightly
By my count they went 4-2 last week, beating the Bills, Browns, Raiders, and Rams. Total trap game.

anyone else see the Seattle non interception??
In the Sea-Ari game a Seattle defender intercepted a pass in the end zone after coming inbounds from the back of the endzone. It was reviewed and determined that he only had 1 foot inbounds when he first touched the ball. How is this different than the Moats fumble on the goal line?? Defender comes from out of bounds and has 1 foot down when he touches the ball but in the Hou-Ind game the Colts got the ball but in the Sea-Ari game the Seahawks didnt get the ball.
WTF????

Note to self: Insert something witty here.
by bigfatdrunk on Nov 15, 2009 4:37 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
then it should have been colts ball on the 1 where he stepped out right?
the official on the field said Powers (i think) only had one foot and thats why it was a touchback. if he got both feet in bounds it makes no fucking sense why it would be a touchback because he clearly established possession and then jumped out of bounds at the one.
im just looking for some clarification besides a conspiracy theory because I honestly dont see one
by TexasHoosier on Nov 15, 2009 11:39 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
No, on review the refs said he only got 1 foot in.

That Jan 3 game
could cause seriously marital issues around here. The wife’s grandpa is having some big 90th B-day party following her nephew’s Jesus bath (aka christening), all of which runs roughly 11-3 that day. You don’t understand. They don’t get any respect from the national media. I know this because they told me so when they tried to explain why Wayne is better then AJ. You see, the fact that they get like 5 nationally televised games is simply not enough. Every one of their games should be on Sunday night or Monday night, and everyone should bow prostrate before their greatness and acknowledge each and every one of their players superiority over every other player in the league.
