Arian Foster was justed moved to the Active Roster!
My apologies to anyone who may have already let the cat out of the bag, but I couldn't let this one rest. While web-browsing for Texans news, I hopped on the Texans Website. And to my surprise, Arian Foster was just signed to the active roster! Unfortunately he took Jesse Nading's spot, but we'll talk about that later. Could there be trouble brewing in the backfield? Or is this a blessing in disguise for our running game? Is Kubes really going to use 4 running backs in the MNF game against Tennessee? What do you think? As for me, I am just going to adopt a wait and see attitude.

Very interesting
I don’t think they promoted him to sit on Monday. Was Moats’ game against the Colts a one-game tryout? Or does Chris Brown sit?

Chris Brown probably injured himself during the bye week.
I predict that the next injury report will show that Chris Brown has a hamstring injury.
My personal guess is that the injury occurred while Brown was running to the fridge to grab a beer.
What are the odds that Foster gets put on the inactive list though?

Dunno...
I can’t imagine he’s going to sit. I don’t think they’d promote him to sit. As DaGoat says, Chris Brown hasn’t been good, so he could sit. BUT, Moats really doesn’t bring anything to the table Slaton doesn’t, and the coaches seem to trust Brown.
I don’t think we’ll dress four RBs, so somebody is going to sit.

I want to see what the kid has to offer...
If he can run with some authority in short-yardage situations…

Chris Brown hasnt been useful all season. If Foster can provide the role of power back, release Brown.

I agree
If Foster can at least be an upgrade over Chris Brown, cut Brown.
I would challenge you to a battle of wits, but you appear to be unarmed.

Don't expect much from Foster... yet.
Kubiak emphasized that Foster played well on special teams multiple times during interviews the last few days. I think special teams is where we can expect to see Foster playing on MNF, and not in the backfield.
However, if the Texans have the game in hand, I would not be surprised if they give him a few runs.
I think Moats and Slaton should be the featured backs. Moats is violent, explosive, and fresh. Slaton is elusive, speedy, and a great 3rd down back.

I agree he's prolly a special teamer this week
Moats doesn’t seem to me to be a one cut n go runner like Kubes likes. To me he just hits the hole. I like that about him.
Slaton runs the stretch, finds the gap, then turns up field. Which is the way the play is designed. This hasn’t worked thus far this season.
So I bet Slaton is the money man on mnf. Moats will see half the carries, unless Slaton puts it on the turf, then its the Moats/Foster show.
Brown is there to steal the BE-SF’s signals. He’ll be released Tuesday.
Smushiak will take us to the playoffs in 2009.

I would give this guy a spot on the roster because of his craziness sense of humor alone.
