The Real Reason Tennessee has won 3 in a row...

Tennessee Punter Brett Kern, not Vincent Young is the real reason the titans have won their last 3 games.

Kern was on the Broncos for their first 6 games when they went 6-0. The Broncos cut Kern after their 6th game and have gone on to lose their 3 games since then. Tennessee signed Kern, while sitting on an 0-6 record, after the Broncos made the clearly dumb move of cutting him. Since Kern was signed, the titans have gone 3-0 making Kern, New Orleans, and Indy the only undefeated's in the NFL.

To me, this is a much more logical reason for the titans' recent success than who the starting QB is, especially when the QB isnt playing great.

Apparently

they thought he was punting it too low and too returnable.

We picked him up and dropped Reggie Hodges (the worst punter in the NFL – by the way, while Kern is undefeated, Hodges is winless. He was dropped by the Titans when we were 0-6 and picked up by the Browns) and we aren’t looking back.

The reason the Titans are winning IS because of VY

but NOT for the reason everyone believes. He’s not as capable as a throwing QB as Kerry Collins. So the influence on the QB in that offense has all but evaporated. Therefore there is more focus on the run game which is obviously Tennessee’s strength. So because of VY’s ineptness as a passing QB and good ability as a game manager and doing what he is told, the Titans have improved. That and their defense is stepping up.
