With OD out. Who do you think should take his place in the offense?
Hate to being a pessimist but I dont see OD playing the rest of the season.
With that being said, who do you think should take his place? With our running game being so awful because of the blocking, I would put Dressen in place of him. But, I have seen THOR play before and he has the ability to make game-changing plays for our passing offense. I dont think his blocking is up to par, but with enough reps that should change.
Im thinking that this post is pointless but I dont wanna flood the OD Injury post. This gives us a forum to discuss the possibilities and put our two cents in. And besides, the italics were getting annoying.

all hands on deck.
it’s gonna take a combination of those 2 guys, plus DA and JJ. someone said yesterday that KW will see his #‘s increase. to understand our offense, put yourself in Shuabby’s seat. on an average play, he has one primary (usually AJ) if someone takes that away, he has his “hot” read usually OD and if that’s taken, he dumps to leach or slaton (or moats). so now, he’s gonna either go KW or slot reciever on the dump offs, which mean our guys should see a lot of mismatches LB on casey, SS on DW or JJ.

I vote for Dressen.
But I think the numbers will improve for the recieving corp as well. And Casey should improve with an increased role in the offense, and surpass Dressen by season’s end.

I think this
is spot on.
And I look forward to more AJ.
Smushiak will take us to the playoffs in 2009.
I really think
Dressen will impress some people. He reminds me a lot of OD in size and speed and he has good hands too. At the very least I’ve never seen him f-up a play. He plays with energy and I think he will step in and do just fine. I also think this is the perfect way to sneak Casey into the game plan. He just doesn’t receive a lot of attention and I think he could make some big plays based on that. Especially on 2 TE sets b/c Dressen will get the most attention and I think Casey can capitalize on it. OD is a huge loss but I think between Casey and Dressen we will be able to manage – they are both great options at TE.
