wow so much for having a multiple dimensional attack. No real weapons at TE, our best catching RB is riding the pine because he cant stop fumbling. Not good at all. If all a defense has to do is focus on AJ and Walter its going to hurt us.

Iron Man

Line up Barwin at TE. We didn’t draft 3 TE’s for nothing.

No, just no.

I like the idea of Barwin being the 3rd TE in 3 TE formations better than Rashard Butler

Barwin is a much better athlete and would pose a potential threat as a receiver. I think the opposing D could completely ignore Butler as a potential receiver.

I think

Dressen can be a capable replacement. Would Koobs consider using Barwin at his old position ? Or does he look up Putzier or Bruener ?

Dreesen is more than capable. He has been overshadowed by OD but now he has a chance to shine.

I have always thought Dressen could have a breakout year if he got the chance. He has great hands, blocks well, and has a great motor.

I expect to be pleasantly surprised by just how well he will play given the chance to start.

I like Dreesen.

Just wondering about those others as temporary depth until Casey gets back. We are down to one fullback now as well.

Well, we will get to see just how ready Anthony Hill is this week. Here's hoping he has vastly improved.

No shit...

he was freakin terrible during preseason. He caughed the ball up 2-3 times in one game and tipped a pass for an interception too. I can’t remember which game but I know it happened.

Agree 100%

All the times I’ve seen him he’s done really well. He has that fire that OD has and he is almost the exact same size as OD and I think they play pretty much the same. I think he will do really well the rest of the year. I know everyone wants to see Casey but I think Dressen will surprise a lot of people.

Yeah, everyone is forgetting about Dreessen

Because of their man love for Casey. Dreessen is an important part of this team. He could easily start if we didn’t have OD (and now we don’t…). He’ll gain a lot of fans this week. Will be nice to get Casey back for 2 TE sets and see how he develops, but he is clearly #3 on the depth chart (#2 now).

if only we had drafted a TE!!

oh wait, down two, we’ve still got:

Dressen
Hill
Barwin
D.Brown

that’s right, our whole team is TE’s! Yes! We Rock!

Winston

Was a beast out in Midland as a TE but never really had the hands to be catching.

I used to

Watch Winston and Cedric Benson just kick the crap out of all kinds of HS kids, they where great then, I’m glad to see Cedric finally pulled his head out of his ass and decided to live up to his ability and stay out of jail for a while

Would have been even nicer to see him doing it wearing the Steel Blue

Cincy probably made a better $$$ offer, and a better chance to start. Had we known that Stevie would be so careless with the ball, we may have made a stronger run at Ced.

Still don't know

Having him this close to Austin (specifically that group of friends) after those multiple incidents in 1 summer….may have just been too much for him to stay focused. But then again, maybe I’m reading too much into it.
