Texans TE James Casey Also Out With Knee Injury
The depth at Tight End is quickly depleting in Houston. First, Anthony Hill gets swine flu and has pretty much been MIA all season. Then Pro Bowler Owen Daniels tears his ACL and is out for the season. Well, it was just announced this afternoon that his replacement, James Casey, had to undergo meniscus knee surgery to repair some damage. He is expected to be back after the bye week to face the Titans on Monday Night Football on November 23rd.
Joel Dreessen is expected to be the every down TE this Sunday at Indianapolis. Houston has been somewhat fortunate with most of their injuries up to this point, but it is starting to get back to where it was last year now. Let's just pray it is going to stop here.

Man, we have a lot of depth at TE...
…I wonder who’s on the practice squad if THOSE are our roster guys.
I’m not worried. Good teams find ways to overcome injuries. I seem to remember New England and St. Louis celebrating Super Bowl titles with their back-up QBs. Didn’t the Giants also stick with a back-up TE over Jeremy Shockey too?
If the Texans break down because of some TE Injuries (no matter how good these guys are) then the problems are bigger than we think.

I have a ton of confidence in Dreessen and Casey will be back for MNF
It would be nice to have both of them to rely on, but I bet Dreessen’s stock goes up after Sunday.

again, well said
I love Joel Dreesen. No, he’s not a superstar, but he’s a good player and you know you’re going to get his best every down.

You say that as if
you have already sampled his urine…good move!
I suppose if all of the stars, moons and planets align it could be possible, but what are the chances of that?

I'd say it more like this
Unwavering criticism and unwavering love are just 2 sides of the same coin.
You and BFD each picked a different side in April. But you’ve gotta let it go at some point, or else the comments like yours above begin to resemble trolling. And from your other posts, I know you’re smarter than that.

Casey playing hurt at Buffalo
According to McClain, Casey was playing hurt throughout the game. This is why he immediately fell after those catches. Casey said he fell cause his knee gave out (reporter asked if he slipped or something) and that he would try hard to play next week, but he had his knee scoped monday morning cause of the injury. I like this guys toughness. It makes you realize what he would have done if his knee didnt give out.

Fewer TE's = more "Run and Shoot" formations?
With all these injuries to our TE’s, could we be seeing more of the “Run and Shoot” we all knew and loved (well maybe some not so much) during the Oilers’ and Warren Moon’s reign? Hated to see Owen Daniels go down, along with Casey, though…

I guess that's possible
Might mean more David Anderson & Glenn Martinez sightings against the Colts, or maybe Slaton in the slot at WR with Moats at RB.
I would challenge you to a battle of wits, but you appear to be unarmed.
