oh dunta... a few words please.
Dear dunta,
last year when you came back from injury, Reliant was on FIRE. we were all so excited! can you remember???! seems like ages ago. fast forward to monday night.
is this where we are dunta?
on that touchdown sir, your coverage was horrible. even though i was halfway through my 5th beer, i noticed that although you were at the goal line, you still played off. what were you thinking sir? were you expecting a go route... 5 yds from the endzone?!?! strange...
remember Vince's big first down run? wow... he made you look dumb. i thought that your strength was tackling since you can't cover for SHIT? hmm..... starting to rethink that. were you aware that you weren't facing an all-pro reciever??? so... 10 million and you get burned and toasted like sunday's muffins by BRITT?!?!? ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm............................... no.
a couple of years ago Houstonians in unison cried "TELL CATO WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and if you don't turn your season around, i imagine the whispers will turn into yells which will turn into an all out riot.
this is where we part ways, guv'na. i defended your ass week in and week out, wating for the "real" dunta to show up. but this IS the "real" dunta isn't it? i bet you feel dumb as hell for sitting out preseason... if anyone needed work, it was YOUR ASS. so now where do we go? well... we go forward, and you sir, you go elsewhere. FAR FAR AWAY.
in retrospect.... was it worth it? i bet if you would've shut your pie hole and JUST PLAYED, nobody would be on your ass. but you sir, "claimed" that you were worth waaaaaaaay more. and now everyone knows you suck. a far way from last year huh?
FUCK DUNTA.

amen brutha.
Michael: It is going to up in Tahoe a couple more days. Maybe you could take a date?
Lucille: How am I supposed to find someone willing to go into that musty old claptrap?
Michael: The cabin... yes! That would be difficult, too.

Respect
For sticking with him when it was unpopular here.
And respect for being big enough change your mind and admit your error in judgment.

yeah.
that TD did it for me. he didn’t even TOUCH dude. wasn’t even close. his closing speed is horrendous. i didn’t even mention the dropped pic. (i missed it… all that alcohol = many many bathroom breaks)

He also didn't even touch VY on the big first down run you referred to, got sucked inside similar to the
end around play to TO in Buffalo. Nice tackling indeed. How about just play your gap and don’t get beat to the edge. Nice knowin’ ya Dunta.
I was halfway through my 5th beer at about 5:30. One pit stop during tailgating, + one more upon entering the stadium and if necessary one more during halftime. Those $8.50 beers taste good, but not as good as the $1.50 Sam Adams’ or $1.25 Shiners. I tank up pregame, and then just get one of the high $$$ beers and nurse it.
It took the Astros 44 years to get to the Series, the Oilers-Texans are due to get to the big dance...Go Texans!!!!!

but now what?
so we’ve established that cunta isn’t coming back. who would be a viable replacement? we can’t go far without at least ONE shutdown corner. do we draft another?!? or do we get someone in free agency? who will be available?!?

it was supposed to be Molden, but Ive lost hope for him. Quinn has been quite good I think him and Reeves are the 2 best atm. Depends who is available via FA once we know if its a capped year or not.

If only molden could stay healthy. Still some hope for Mccain I guess? I would be fine with him as the nickle at this point.

if we are drafting a corner
then we have to take myron lewis. he is 6’2 with 4.4 speed. that would be an amazing combo. i haven’t watched him much but hes a real physical, strong corner. he’s good against the run too. this guy is projected to go middle-late first round. if taylor mayes isnt there, we need lewis. (he goes to vanderbilt btw).

I heard that Mays has been playing subpar this season
Is that wrong?

The whole USC D
has been subpar. Mays isn’t making the highlight reel plays he was last year, but (at least in the three games I’ve watched) I didn’t see him playing poorly.
Yay, sports.

Good point about the offseason
If anyone needed training camp, it was him. Yet he blew it off because he felt he was the superstar on the team and they weren’t paying him enough.
This clown turned down so much money it makes my head spin.
I said it before, and I’ll say it again: Dunta, at some point in the future, is going to sue his agents. He will realize what a douchebag he was, and look for someone to blame.
This clown turned down $23 in CASH.
Damn.
Fuck Dunta.

He certainly is proving himself.
Isn’t he?
Some of us thought he wanted more money and was trying to strong arm the organization because he knew his injury left him unable to play the same and thus wanted more guaranteed money before we found out the hard way (instead of an incentive based contract).
Thank Durga he turned down the $23 Million. I am thankful of that on this day of thanks!!
by WhiskeyR on Nov 26, 2009 8:32 AM CST reply actions 0 recs
Since you brought up incentives...
Can we lobby for Rick to only give bonuses for wins? Every contract is to be re-worked, and individual attainment clauses are voided, and in place of them, a team-wide “Wins Bonus.”
This could also be called “Playoffs Incentive” if you prefer.
I’d imagine everyone, including McNair (who would be the one paying them), would go for that.

I too am thankful
That cunta – props for giving him that very accurate name btw – did the team a favor by acting like an assclown, and saved us millions.

I agree.
I defended the guy too when it wasn’t popular but the way the BESF’s made him look was assatrocious. I hope he goes far, far away too. Great letter!

it is over i stood on the dunta wagon long enough i tried to see the bright spots when others did not but this is just getting out of hand and now i am one of the ppl saying f—k dunta i hate to say it cuz i like him as a player but i thiink his heart is not really in the game sometimes but i do tell all of you here when he does leave and goes to a nother team and wrecks shop we are going to say f— dunta again why did he not do it for us and the answer will be simple he did not care for us. Beside look at houstons history of players who have left david carr super bowl ring jabar gaffney super bowl ring of corse their are other players who hurt us more then we realize and im talking about jason babin who we gave up three picks for imagine what those three picks could be right now maybe a oline just maybe who knows.
