Put into a historical context, Matt Schaub's career passing yards per attempt could be an omen of very good things to come for your Houston Texans. Worth a read.

#insanity.

previous 2 the buffalo game, matt had over 2,000 yds already. he’s stayed healthy, limited his mistakes, and scored in the end zone. Koob gets mad props from me for bringing him in, selling him on the system, then letting him go run the offense. at this clip he can easily go over 4,000 and if the Texans find a way 2 make the playoffs, how can you not include him in Pro Bowl conversations?
ohhhh that’s right. those two spots are reserved… i forgot.

Yeah, serious props to Kubiak!

That guy can sniff out a good Quarterback better than anyone. Actually, he seems to be able to sniff out good players as well as anyone (credit the whole FO for that, too).

I get what you're saying...

If the stats are relatively even, Schaub has no chance of winning since it’s a popularity contest. But in all honestly, it’s tough to put him ahead of Manning and Roethlisberger at this point.

If Brady wins it ahead of him I’ll be pissed, but right now Manning is the best QB in football (maybe in the history of football) and he’s playing as well as ever, and Roethlisberger is a multiple-SB winning QB putting up his best stats ever and will likely finish with a better record.

Schaub is playing lights out, and he probably has less at his disposal (in terms of O-line and defense) than the other two. But there are some very, very good QBs in the AFC right now. You could make a case for any one of those guys and you wouldn’t be wrong (unless you left out Manning).

But fuck it, pro bowl appearances don’t win superbowls (or even playoff games, if you’re the Cowboys). And Schaub isn’t the kind of guy who needs that to feed his ego. I hope he keeps going out there and tearing it up for the sake of wins, not awards.

Before Manning arrived in Indy

That place was way off the radar. Ditto for Brady in New England, Elway in Denver and Favre in Green Bay.

The only obvious exception to this that I can think of is Dallas.

If Schaub starts winning consistently, he’ll get the same deference that those guys do.

In any event, I’ve defended Schaub since basically he got here, and I’m glad he’s starting to get some deserved recognition.

When I'm on the mic, I'm like global warming, you can't ignore me.

This is a breakout year for Schaub

He is earning his place to be in the conversation. Correct, as stated, he is in the company of Super Bowl winning quarterbacks…so…there is something left to be done, then! If Schaub is good enogh a Super Bowl is what has to be the goal. Playoff? No, Super Bowl!

I suppose if all of the stars, moons and planets align it could be possible, but what are the chances of that?
