Is it still Moats, or is it Foster?
Gary "if you fumble for me once your ass is grass" Kubiak said Monday of Texans rookie back Arian Foster, "we're about to turn it up big time for him." Does this mean that Moats will be taking a back seat for the last three games of the year so the coaching staff can see what the Tennessee rookie can do? Anyone have any idea how many touches Foster is looking at for this Sunday?

Whatever the number is, it isn't enough
Chris Brown needs to blow some more blocking assignments.

Brown barely got any carries already, ppl make a big deal out of Kubiak naming Brown the starter, but being the starter doesnt matter, he hasnt been getting the bulk of carries anyway. He was just the better pass blocker between him and Moats. I think Foster will get the lion’s share of carries next game with Moats in second.

I think Kubiak was impressed with Foster's first real NFL action at RB
I mean, who wouldn’t be? The guy was as explosive on those screens and checkdowns as any back we’ve had this season. He had a low YPC average, but I also liked the way he hit the holes like he was shot out of a cannon even though there wasn’t really any holes there as our interior line play is just atrocious at this point. I thought he looked very good, and not just because he isn’t Chris Brown.., because he brings the thunder like no back we’ve had so far this year and looks to be a pretty decent threat recieving out of the backfield as well. If he can show consistency and improve on pass protection in the offseason, I think we definitely have a keeper even if it’s just as a reserve for another short yardage runner we bring in.

I think Moats
is playing his last 3 games as a Texan.
I think if Kubiak trusted him as a protector of teh Schaub, he would have a roster spot reserved and a lot more touches, cuz he can run the ball. But his fumble last week probably spelled a lot of bench time for his last 3 games as a Texan.
Now we have 3 games to see if Foster can carry the load as RB3 next season for the Texans, and hopefully we’ll get the chance to see if he can be the bruiser at the goal line we need. He has decent size.
