You really enjoy these dont you??
Again, why sign a 39 year old, declining center who is known as a dirty player? Pickett would be nice, but Id rather draft a DT with the 1st round pick since Earl is most likely not leaving Texas.
"Every time you turn on ESPN you see Bama" - Earl Thomas' answer when asked what excites him most about the National Championship.
To all Houston sports fans, Houston is the 4th biggest city in America, there will be traffic on the way to your respective sports game. Come Early, Be Loud, Stay Late.

honestly what are we going to do with gerhart convert him to tight end cuz he will not be a rb in the nfl. i agree on not getting mawae but would u rather him be on a division team or yours being dirty something to think about.
What makes you think Gerhart won’t be a running back in the NFL? Most places have him as 2-3 round rb talent.
I've seen that alot though
People let stereotypes rule over logic… I’ve heard several analysts say that they think he’d be the most talented RB in the draft if he comes out and that he’s the oldschool workhorse type of back that you just don’t see very often in the draft anymore and i’ve even heard one say that he has the best balance for a runner coming out since Adrian Peterson, yet alot of people still believe he’s not going to be “athletic” enough to play RB in the NFL.
I think where he gets drafted
Will come down to combine numbers sadly enough. If he runs under a 4.5 he’ll probably be a lock for the 1st round/early 2nd at the latest, anything under 4.6 and he’s a 2nd-3rd rounder, and anything over 4.6 and he could slide. It’s kind of sad that a tenth of a second over 40 yards could make up a professional scout’s mind on what kind of player they’re looking at.
Gerhart has sneaky speed
And is heady.

Plus good hands
and small manhood
If the Treasury Secretary doesn't have to pay taxes, then why do I?
Gerhardt could be the next Jerome Bettis
Certainly not a TE at 6’-1". He’s a scoring machine. Those guys don’t grow on trees.
I suppose if all of the stars, moons and planets align it could be possible, but what are the chances of that?
I don't understand the need for an OLB.
Mawae is done as well. Don’t need and more Mike Flanigans in Houston.

serioulsy just looked up you tube on gerhart and dude is not going to make it in the nfl guys sorry but someone will take a chance on the dude which is fine he does derserve that but he might just be a short yardage guy or something to play with. regardless one season in the nfl and when ppl get use to him he will not pan out i hope we do not waste a pick on him unless he is like in the 4th or 5th rounds.
So.....time for an SAT analogy

Wait....
did you really say that you wathced him on youtube and decided he was not an NFL caliber RB? Reallly??? C’mon Man!
Confucius says "man who stands on toilet, high on pot".
Does the name...
Jerome Bettis mean anything to you?
You may have seen youtube, but I’ve seen real games. Kid’s a faster Mike Alstott, a more athletic Jerome Bettis. He’ll have a good career.
The closest resemblence I see
Is John Riggins, and not because they’re both pasty white.., both are/were big burly type backs who don’t look like they can run but a few cracked skulls later and they’re running in the open field 60 yards for the TD and surprisingly no one runs them down. Neither shied away from contact yet both seem to consistently bounce off/run through the tackler and keep running. I’m not saying he’s a sure hall of famer, i’m just saying the dude has potential to be a very good NFL RB.., think of a slower more straight-lined Adrian Peterson…. He’s going to be a bruiser, and might not have a long NFL career because of it, but i’d imagine he’s going to be pretty effective even if only as a situational/short yardage back.
good analogy
He’s a downhill type of runner, north-south, he won’t be wasting steps dancing, he will score his share of TD’s. Whichever team drafts him will have a guy that can push a line.
I suppose if all of the stars, moons and planets align it could be possible, but what are the chances of that?
Sorry i do not go to stanford games cuz quite honestly its stanford. After all that i also looked up dude stats they are very impressive pretty much all u have to do is give him the ball on 1st and 2nd downs and u got a first again. Now in the game we all love which is the nfl guys are alot faster hit harder and some are smarter just some that is. I hope Gerhart has a good nfl career as long as it is not against our texans.
