Brandon Marshall better than Andre "The Beast" Johnson?!?

I just Fanshot this, but I realized it was more in the league of a FanPost, so ignore the FanShot.

Ok, I know this site will be slightly slanted, but, today on CBS Pre-Game show they asked the fans who is the best receiver in the NFL. Well it ended up being like 55% Brandon Marshall, 24% Andre and 21% Fitzy. This is just ludicrous to me, Andre Johnson is beating him in every conceivable stat except longest catch(which is kind of a moot point) and touchdowns, 9 to Johnson's 8 this year.

Proof

Not to take away from Brandon Marshall and his 21 catch game and his good year this year, but how does one game suddenly vault Brandon above Andre it makes no sense to me.
I know I am drinking the Kool-Aid but Andre Johnson is on the verge of matching Jerry Rice in the consecutive leading the NFL record. To add to that is the 13-10 catch 100 yard games that he has, but, I digress I had to get this frustration off my chest.

because the typical nfl fan is pretty dumb, so ofc holding the poll the week after his big 21 catch game is gonna have the ppl with a memory of a goldfish voting for him.

I think I'll go to the Bronco's blogsite and create a poll

then we can all go vote and have Andre ripping Brandon on their own blogsite. Then we’ll care.

I suppose if all of the stars, moons and planets align it could be possible, but what are the chances of that?

Good Idea

If you do that, tell us.

We'll get the vote in real quick and then I'll close the poll before they know what hit them

who's leading the NFL in yards by about 200?

oh and on the stats note… cushing is 5th in the league in total tackles and schaub is about 50 yards from being the leading passer in the NFL. prroooo bowlllllll

Looking forward to not having an 8-8 year!

Cushing

..also has more sacks than any of our interior lineman besides Mario and more picks than any of our DBs besides Pollard iirc. And more tackles than DeMeco.

That’s impressive.

Mario isnt an interior lineman

Cushing is also the LB leader in pass deflections. Also, only 1 DB in the top 50 in tackles with as many or more pass deflection than Cushing is Brian Dawkins with 19 less tackles and one more PD.

Point taken

I should have said Crushing has more sacks than any of our d-lineman besides Mario.

Cushing's lead in PD...

irritates the shit out of me. I’ve watch all the games, most twice, and I can’t come up with a # w/in three of the “official” total.

That said, he’s playing his (’roid shriveled) balls off.

Yay, sports.

Cool stat about AJ from Kuharsky

Andre has 488 receiving yards this month, which is 121 more than the next best individual (Marshall) and more than 6 entire teams.

AJ may be better than Marshall

But no way in hell is he better than Reggie Wayne.

I agree

Andre Johnson > Brandon Marshall.

I think it’s fairly obvious that there are either more Denver fans than Houston fans, that people see 21 catches (and thus a new NFL record, as well) as being better than Johnson’s consistency, or that BMarsh is just a newer sensation in the league.

Other theories include: Marshall is a diva and therefore is more outspoken, more heard, and more heard of. Andre Johnson is humble (appears to be anyway) and thus doesn’t get as much media attention.

But clearly, Johnson is the greater receiver and I’d take him any day and twice on Sundays or Mondays.

andre johnson is highly underrated because hes a good guy

he keeps his mouth shut so hes not even a household though he definitely should be. THE best receiver in the nfl by far. from the U….niversity of Miami!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never understood that

Andre is from The U…yet, he doesn’t talk. I figured that was like the first thing you learned at The U – especially when you’re the best damn WR walking the planet.

its not all about the talk

its about the swagger.

AJ Trumps BM

Most of Kyle Orton’s passes are short and medium passes, he RARELY if ever throws the long bomb, and when he does he is unaccurate. AJ is a consistent receiver, and never has an off game(plus he doesn’t atract major attention like Brandon Marshal or T.O.) . Marshall on the other hand, whines till he gets paid, and doesn’t make up for it with his playing. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a good receiver, but not great. Andre is great!
