Mario, Andre, Cush, DeMeco = Texans Pro Bowlers
The Houston Texans have 4, count em 4, Pro Bowlers. Andre Johnson, Mario Williams, Brian Cushing, and DeMeco Ryans will be representing the Texans in South Florida for the NFL All Star Game. Teh Schaub didnt make it due to name recognition as Manning, Rivers, and an undeserving Brady are the AFC QBs. Im surprised that Cushing made it even though he is deserving. I think Mario only made it due to name and DeMeco is a toss up as to whether he is deserving or not, personally I think he is due to the play we have seen from Cushing.

To add to this
8 teams have more Pro Bowlers than the Texans and they are: Ravens (5), Broncos (5), Colts (6), Chargers (5), Cowboys (6), Vikings (8), Saints (5), and Eagles (6). Also, the AFC North Division Champion Bengals got shutout.
Andre is the only Texans starter
"Every time you turn on ESPN you see Bama" - Earl Thomas' answer when asked what excites him most about the National Championship.
To all Houston sports fans, Houston is the 4th biggest city in America, there will be traffic on the way to your respective sports game. Come Early, Be Loud, Stay Late.
Lot's of respect
Ryans, Cushing, and Johnson deserve it. Mario is a beast but has been admittedly not playing as well as he is capable. AJ is the best. Cushing is such a delight, I am still shocked just how much I love this guy. Ryans needs to get paid, Texans please pay this man.
Schaub got screwed. Brady went because of name recognition but Schaub should go IMO. I would have put Manning, Rivers, Schaub. I expect Schaub to make this team when someone else is taken off of it.
P.S. Not having Cedric Benson on the team is surprising. Cincy has been good this year and Benson is a huge part of that.
I read somewhere that Schaub is #2
On the replacement list for AFC QBs… I don’t know who is #1, Rothlesburger maybe, but to me that’s the biggest slap in the face here. He should have gone before Brady, and on individual play alone should probably have gone before Rivers, but with the Chargers’ success and Brady’s name recognition you could see that coming a mile away, to only be seen as the 2nd best of what’s left though is ridiculous.
Lets say
Vince Young, Sanchez, Palmer, or even Brady Quin had the kind of numbers this year that Schaub had, they’d be shoo ins… All because of name recognition. Schaub was a 3rd round pick and plays for a team that gets next to no national coverage, so anything short of breaking several passing records and he’s going to get passed over. It happens at every position and is probably the biggest factor as to why the pro bowl is meaningless…, when you hold an all star game and the “all-stars” you’ve assembled were outperformed by other players not selected, you kind of lose the appeal of having the top players in the league square off, because in many eyes they’re not.
No. 1 Alternate At QB
Is indeed Roethlisberger.
Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...
