Boy...

Garrard is really picking on Reeves today.

One thing is for certain...

…the DB position needs a major overhaul this offseason.

Seriously

There is nothing more infuriating to me as a fan than seeing us in zone. It’s inexplicable and plays to absolutely no one’s strengths.

Do you notice

That everytime we pull it out, they ALWAYS pull out the draw/scramble, and it always gets 10-15 yards?

Or

They throw right to the area where Reeves, Dunta, and/or Busing is/supposed to be, and it’s good for a first down.

look to last week

for the answer

Some people say "If you can't beat them, join them". I say "If you can't beat them, beat them", because they will be expecting you to join them, so you will have the element of surprise.

We are too far down anyway.

Defense can’t stop them they are scoring at will. Unless defense shuts them out somehow in second half this is over.

Defense is really tired from playing all of the first half

We have to chew up clock and score on every drive next half

by Karsh on Dec 6, 2009 1:22 PM CST reply actions

WTF

Why is our defense playing so badly? Does Busing and McCain make that much of a difference?

by Jahon on Dec 6, 2009 1:23 PM CST reply actions

Busing does

see the first 3 games of the season

Smushiak will take us to the playoffs in 2009.

by texanphil on Dec 6, 2009 1:24 PM CST up reply actions

Busing definitely does

It’s like playing with ten men on the field.

by cubic on Dec 6, 2009 1:25 PM CST up reply actions

They're exhausted.

Three and outs on every single drive for an entire half will gas your defense. Also, our DBs suck when they’re NOT tired.

by Karsh on Dec 6, 2009 1:25 PM CST up reply actions

Our secondary has been horrible all year. nothing new here.

We got a chance.

If we score a td to open the 2nd half

It’s a 20-14 game, I think it’s definitely doable.

As long as

We keep Schaub off the ground

by Bryan72076 on Dec 6, 2009 1:25 PM CST reply actions

And That Right There

Is the key. The second Schaub leaves the field, it’s over.

by Tim on Dec 6, 2009 1:27 PM CST up reply actions

Guys, the defense has only been on the field for 16 minutes. They’re not tired, they’re just very bad.

by cubic on Dec 6, 2009 1:26 PM CST reply actions

That's only because

of the 6 minute drive in the one possession Schaub was in, the rest of the time it was completely one sided.

by Bryan72076 on Dec 6, 2009 1:28 PM CST up reply actions

True

The issue is the average starting field position for the Jags, not ToP

If the Treasury Secretary doesn't have to pay taxes, then why do I?

by Shake on Dec 6, 2009 1:29 PM CST up reply actions

I AGREE...

JUST BECAUSE OUR D GAVE UP A LOT OF POINTS DOESN’T MEAN THEY’VE BEEN ON THE FIELD FOR A LONG TIME. ALSO WE GET THE BALL TO START THE HALF. WE SHOULD BE FRESH ON D FOR THE 2ND HALF

Thoughts from this half

—Schaub is worth nothing but praise.
—Dunta Robinson, well, you know what I’m going to say.
—Frenchy: good on two or three plays, bad on two plays.
—Mario must really be hurt.
—Jack Del Rio is an idiot if he does not throw the ball on EVERY down in the second half. First, second, third and fourth.
—I am off the Kubes bandwagon.
—We seem to run the ball better when Sexy Rexy is back htere. Other than that, he sucks.
—Biz Markee is somehow still amazingly cool after all these years.

When I'm on the mic, I'm like global warming, you can't ignore me.
