Slaton done for the season

ESPN Sports Center just reported the Texans have placed Slaton on IR and he is done for the season. Do not have a link or anything up yet. Have not been able to find one, but it is on Sports Center. Will look for link later.

Maybe we will get lucky and this is just a sports center mix up? Maybe I will get lucky and writing this useless sentence will put me over the 75 word mark?

what the hell happened to him, and how did this unknown injury become so serious? I mean I saw him play in the Colts game, and then the next thing I hear is 4 days later all of a sudden he is “a little banged up”, now hes on IR?

He had numbness in his shoulder that is now spreading to his hands...or something like that.

To be honest, this may explain the fumbles. He may have a nervous system issue, pinched nerves, or nerve conductivity problem causing weakness in his grip.

I mention that because a friend of mine is going through the same thing right now. Weak hand strength caused by a nervous system issue. The guy is 220 and solid but his handshake is weak as a kids because of it.

ya I read the numbness issue, but Im curious why nothing has been put out about exactly what is wrong with him, and the fact they acted like this is something they knew about for a long time. Theyve kept it in the dark quite well.

I thought the same thing.

I wonder how long this has been going on? I have pinched a nerve in my neck before and couldn’t even hold onto a pencil, forget a football with men who can bench press 300+lbs trying to rip it out of your hands

Just Posted On The Main Page

Schefter is reporting it too. No reason to think it’s not legit at this point.

Looking forward to a day when being a Texans fan doesn't mean that April is the highlight of my season...
